Oz wasnt better than Inca on the 2gate vs 2gate, as he said in the interview he didn't scout games 1 and 2 and then scouted game 3. idk his reasoning for this decision but it won him the game. Inca almost came out of an unwinnable position (having your proxy 2gate scouted) with WAY better micro Oz was just insurmountably far ahead.

This was easily the worst morning (EST) of GSL Code S in a long long time
There is always tomorrow nshs.seal.

So far this has been the best GSL season imo, even though it's only been a week. Group matches are much more enjoyable to me now that they are Bo3 instead of Bo1.

Man. This week has RAVAGED my liquibets win percentage. IdrA, Leenock, Bomber, and Sen(in hindsight, that wasn't a good choice)

Sen was a very silly choice, and Idra was pretty silly as well.

Never bet for foreigners - that way you can be happy when they win and at least slightly happy when they lose.

At the moment I can think of no foreign zerg player who could get to the round of 16 in GSL. Stephano is not that good anymore, Idra and Sen just lost, Kas is not good enough, Sase can't perform in tournaments, Naniwa is kicked out of code S. There is not a single foreign player i would bet my money on in the first group play of GSL
Snute will be the new Stephano in 2013! Mark my words

Happy might be close to bomber, but for example ForGG way lower and what Taeja is doing here anyway ?

Not long after, he dropped from his very first Code S tournament after suffering a 2 – 3 loss to ZeNEXByun – a shock loss after he had gone up 2 – 0 in the series with some of the best TvT play ever seen in the GSL.

You could offer the context of that being the GSL 1/4 finals there =p

I wonder what would have happened by today if Bomber hadn't let that series slip.

Was a crazy week for sure

Looks like the Korean Terrans aren't doing so well this season... maybe the Z's and P's have a better shot at a tittle!

What. Out of the 8 spots in the round of 16 so far, 5 are terran.

Thats pretty damn well. Fact checks, fact checks.

"only" 4. It's still pretty much 50/50 on race advancement so far, though group A did have 3 terrans and Sen so 2 Terrans advancing there was kind of a given.

(toss being 2 for 3 and Zerg being 2 for 6)

Lol only 1 game rated higher than 3 stars last night. It's funny how the epicness of SC2 games goes down the gutter once protoss starts playing. Just goes to show there's more to game design than just balance.

As a huge Bomber fan, it pains me to say that Bomber may have missed his window of opportunity to make it big in the GSL. Back in his heyday Bomber and Mvp were the only terrans who really knew how to macro, and it allowed him to get away with his reckless and cost inefficient micro. Nowadays almost everyone in the GSL can macro, and for those who can't they just beat Bomber in low econ micro wars. To make things worse Bomber's decision making has gone down the toilet. Given Startale's less than stellar reputation in terms of training rigor, I suspect this may be a coaching issue as well. In a way Bomber is sort of like the SC2 terran version of BeSt, a macro fiend who scared the shit out of everyone when he first arrived but never lived up to the hype.

Does Bomber suffer from nerves or something? He seems to choke a lot, such as losing 3 straight games to Byun after being up 2-0, or losing 4 straight games to MVP in the MLG Global Invitational after being up 3-0 in a Bo7.

Waxangel, your predictions might not always be correct.

But...

DAMN these write ups are so awesome. All down to the fake score on the 3rd game's that didn't happen.

I've always found Bomber SO over-hyped. Yes his playstyle is cool and was ground-breaking when he was an upcoming player, but his results just aren't enough for him to be considered very good, let alone one of the top terrans in the world. I'm really glad Oz and Curious got through, I hope they do well in the rest of the tournament.

Personally I think Inca vs Oz game 3 was worth more than 2.5, but maybe that's just because I was watching it at the time

So he'll have a resurgence in...three years?

Is this article bugged or something? Can't see the part with the predictions and the link to above just doesn't do anything.
