Vul United States685 Posts November 14 2011 16:58 GMT #121 I agree with MVP first and MMA second, but I don't think it matters that MVP has the easier group in GSL, those games haven't been played yet. 3-10 is so hard to call though. My feedback on the art is that I prefer the more traditional photographs.

His MLG run was far more impressive than Oz's recent achievements, and even MMA has a lower TvP percentage than 50%. I reckon the reason MMA has looked so impressive has been because of his excellent TvZ and TvT (although his TvZ definitely has holes in it, showcased by Lucky at IPL). His TvP has never looked impressive, which with the return of Protoss to GSL may prove his downfall. I also find it really hard to imagine HuK/SangHo at least 3 places up from MC. Of course, I'm an oGsMC fanboy, but Killer's only games which have EVER really impressed me were the PvT against some more faceless Code S Terrans. He got to the Ro16 last time through Polt's curious choke and terrible play rather than through any prowess of his own. Sure, he's good, and the manliest Protoss in GSL (with Hero being the cutest, MC being the scariest and Huk being... the foreigner), but even with MC's slump (which he has now emerged from, it seems), Killer doesn't look fantastic as Protoss. Of course, I suppose even if he is just "decent", rather than excellent, at least he has been consistently decent. It was MC's slump and following unpredictability which made him hard to rank as a player. I think the reason why Oz is being placed above MC is not so much on results but on a gut feeling (as you said). I'm OK with that, but definitely not Killer, unless there's . He's not Top 7, IMO. And Huk... hmm. MC's famous for his unpredictability with results, but I would say that Huk's own variance has slipped by unnoticed. Perhaps there was less expectation, perhaps he did not have a noticeable slump, perhaps foreign bias changed perspective, but going straight from winning MLG Orlando off the back of his stellar PvP and PvMKP and PvTheStC (still in Code B), he then lost in the NASL 0-2 to DarKFoRcE. DARKFORCE. I mean, he's a good EU Zerg, but nowhere near Code S material. From there, to losing to Rain in the EG Masters Cup. He then lost in the ASUS ROG to elfi, when PvP seemed to be Huk's strongest match-up, and then finally lost to BRAT_OK in the NASL. To accuse MC of unpredictability and then go with HuK for rank 8 seems inconsistent. Unless you are only using GSL results/games, in which case HuK shouldn't even be in the Top 10. His GSL games alone have never seemed amazing. Still, it's not my Top 10 list. And hey - I'm wrong all the time. I thought MVP would beat MMA. I thought Huk would beat DarkForce. I thought Polt/Supernova/Nada would stay in Code S.

They flirt with MC, JYP, killer... Let's all just embrace that HuK's the best protoss, and be happy about it, and stop picking him to lose every game he's in!

soulist United States932 Posts November 14 2011 20:05 GMT #139 Hmmm you give coca a little to much credit. Saying his group was the hardest is very far out there when there are groups like Happy, Guminho, Bomber, and DRG and sC, Losira, Nestea, and asd. I even think Huk's group was harder.

I agree with the top five, and maybe even six, but I really think that GuMiho should be on the list at the very least. I know that he gets a mention, but I feel that he, Happy, or GanZi have the best chance of winning the GSL if you don't include the past champions (which doesn't really mean much because I'm fairly certain that one of the top 3 on your list will win the GSL). I think that GuMiho deserves a spot over HuK, though I like to see Leenock and Oz up there, as they've really earned it. HuK beat Clide, who, despite what Artosis may say, is far from the most impressive Terran--especially his TvP. And then HuK went on to beat Puzzle in PvP, but HuK's PvP has always been an off-and-on match-up, where he'll destroy MC in an MLG finals and then lose to Elfi at ASUS ROG Stars Invite. Obviously it's cool to see HuK up there since he's a foreigner, and I think that he has earned a spot in the Top 10, but I have been a lot more impressed with GuMiho's recent improvements instead of HuK's play.
