Wait, does this mean EG is creating a Korean house with Idra going back, Puma and Huk?

heh for EG to make a "life changing offer" they must have shelled out some big checks... kind of a dick move to hype up the transfer though, even if it is exciting news for them I believe most of TL is grieving atm.

somehow I just can't understand how it's going to work if IdrA and HuK can't stand each other

Well they were hyping up a team change Idra returning to Korea and a team house there so its not like there was not a lot of stuff to hype.

If HuK joined EG a year ago, he would have been as hated as he was in the beta. Liquid gave him his chance in Korea, gave him the team environment to practice and be coached, gave him popularity back when he had fame but no popularity at all. Almost every aspect of the player that HuK is now, can be attributed to Liquid's doing, along with HuK's own ability and mentality. While Huk has the natural ability, Liquid gave him the nurture for him to actually be a good player and not some 1-base all-in BM arrogant beta player. While Fabregas went back to Barca, his home team, his childhood home, HuK to EG is money money money. Fine. I doubt the core of Liquid would turn their loyalty that easily though. HuK left as soon as his contract was up.

Life-changing decision or not, there's not a single player in EG that I support and this doesn't change anything. Jokes, EG.DeMusliM too cool but what a shame he joined EG. The same EG that throws money around as if it was Man City or Real Madrid. The same EG that disrepects other teams and let their targets do the negotiating behind the backs of their managers.

A team of hype, arrogance, inability and lacking everything else especially class.

Did no one actually read EG's statement???? >.> Alex even said that TL was instrumental in developing HuK. Its just like in anyother sports, there are teams that pick up young players, and develop them into superstars, and eventually one of the big shot teams are going to pick them up after contracts are done, with SUBSTANTIAL amounts of money, this is simply the progression E-Sports. Don't hate team, love the player.

I agree. Things like this is why SC2 is called an e-SPORT. There is actually a competitive market out there now, even outside of Korea, which is really exciting to see

I'll always be a fan as long as you keep on working hard. I've always respected that about you.

Not that I dislike Liquid or EG though. :p Love them both, so this change doesn't affect me in the slightest haha.

Idra going back to Korea is actually more interesting news for me. See if his mediocrity lately is down to practice or if he simply fell behind ala Rainbow and he'll never be back.

EG, the monopoly of the gaming industry. Period. Just like they did with Counter strike 1.6. Took the best team away from the organization that gave them fame. Really sad. Huk will always be Liquid`HuK in my, teary, eyes. He was the reason i started playing starcraft. And to see something like this happen is just devestating to say the least. I know he won't read this but, he was like a role model for me. =[ R.I.P liquid`huk

Can someone clarify, what was that "life changing" thing in Huks contract with EG?

*sniff* This sucks. EG going around buying up star players cuz they have the money. Now I know how small market sports team fans feel when their favorites get bought out by the big city clubs. No wonder Idra and Huk were so cordial at the NA Battle.net invitational. I guess being teammates now means they have to try their best to get along. I'm scared though for what this means for the TL-OGS partnership and Huk's career in Korea. Jinro is all by himself in Korea now and even though he said he wanted to stay in Korea long term I don't think he ever imagined he'd be by himself there. What is Huk to do now? If he stays in Korea he won't have anyone to practice with except Puma.

edit: ok I missed the part about EG going to Korea. So at least that's good for Huk. Nonetheless without a Korean team to practice with it still won't be as good as the OGS partnership.

So EG is like the Yankees of the NA SC2 Scene?

We need salary caps in sc2, haha

Are the Yankees a team incapable of making any of their own players preform well so they have to throw money at people playing on other teams?

Do you really think EG would be able to afford 1 hundredth of even one of those players?

Not that either of them would accept, of course.

EG pretty much deserves every bit of backlash they get at this point.

Even if people are overreacting, if they just handled things like every single bit of news wasn't the biggest thing in the world no one would hate them. If they just made a press release instead of attacking Milkis, if they just made an announcement instead of a random ARG, people would 100% not feel so insulted.

This is big news, in the scope of the scene. Two big rivals, with huge incompatible fanbases, now on one team and practicing together in Korea.

Please TL, put more ads on your page or something! I will gladly put up with more advertisements so you guys can have more money to keep players like HuK.
