GL Huk and TL. Who currently sponsors the team? What? How can you not know who sponsers Liquid when your on this site!? Main Sponser: The Little App Factory Team Sponser: Razer
No I knew that, it's on the t-shirt, I was just curious who else they could pursue.

IdrA just said on Inside The Game that he's fine with it, and that obviously he's fine with it if he agreed to live with him in Korea to train. He said that their egos clash within the game, not outside of it.

If anyone from team liquid went to EG, I would've thought Huk was one of the last to go.
I can not forgive what EG did and this compounds what they did in the past. Though I do understand Huk's decision for business reasons, I can not help but feel that he betrayed his team.
|
Huk and IdrA on the same team... this will be interesting.

I think that most of the bad feelings are because people get the impression that this change will break up the OGSTL family that HuK was such a integral part of
|
Sad to see him go. Definitely was in love with Huk more because he was a Liquid member, but he's still one of my favorite protoss players and will continue to support him, although if it came down to a game now between him and a member of TL, I'm not sure what I'll think T_T. GL Liquid, Huk, and EG!

Hmm i think most ppl are tired of this debate after the HUGE Lebron thing last year. As with Lebron, I can totally understand where Liquid, EG and HuK are coming from.
I wish everybody the best of luck as it is my wish that the day foreigners can match the Koreans will come soon. If Miami can reach the finals of the NBA last season I think this transfer will take EG to greater heights.
I am extremely happy that EG is going to Korea to compete in GSL. It is my hope that they will do well and compete in Code S and give the Koreans a run for their money. I think if this were to happen it will elevate SC2 to new heights in the international community similar to what happened to the EPL when Liverpool raised the league's profile in the 80s and Man U in the 90s.

I woke up, hoping it was all just a bad dream. Checked TL.
Nope. It's real. Huk really out of TL. Damn.

I'd be very interested to see how HuK performs now that he is in EG. His mindset is now in a state of dismay. He stated in the article that he only really did this for "business" reasons. His personal life and his best friends have been torn from him and he is now moving to a new place with someone that hates him. If you recall, when oGs Zenio was living in the team house his results were less than spectacular. When he moved home with his family and was in a good state of mind, he started to really shine. I'd be very worried that HuK will have a similar problem now that his support system and his comfort zone have been blown sky high.
In addition, he is going from living in a house with a plethora of high quality players to bounce builds off of and learn from to a house with just two other guys who he's not particularly close with. MC was sitting next to him the entire time working out new protos builds and supporting him when he would have any issue. These people loved him and was his family (as HuK stated). He just left the environment that bred his success.
HuK is now competing against his former teammates while wearing different colors. He may still hang out with his friends from his old team / oGs, but I doubt it will be frequent. He's going to realize that he went from a family with some of the most respected , nicest players - men - in the world to EG, which has good players, but as men they are not the same of quality of Team Liquid's.
HuK, I'm a big supporter. I've been following you since my friend showed me this game during the beta. SC2 is my first RTS and, because of physical limitations with my right hand, I can't play very much though I do watch it constantly. Watching you play was the catalyst that got me interested in the game. I think you're a great player, and a phenomenal person. I know that the money EG is offering can, if you invest it correctly, help really start your life as an adult. I also know that if your mind isn't in the right place, you may end up without a team in a year. There are a lot of factors that go into being successful in this game. Assuming comparable skill, a player's mental state is the most important factor involved. This transition is going to really shift yours. Anyone on this forum can flame me all they want, but no one can deny the aforementioned.
I wish you the best of luck HuK. If I was in your position, I don't know what choice I would have made. I hope you do your best in recognizing the issue here so that you can combat it with your best efforts. Good luck in your future and just remember that whatever happens, you're a smart guy and you've got talent. You'll be just fine in life. Try and focus on what you can and not worry about things you can not change.
Good luck Huk!
~Cheers
