It's not just you. He's consistent beast. The most impressive thing is that past performance outside of each 2 week block isn't even considered in the ranking. He's just that damn consistent at winning online events. He came awfully close to dropping off of it this edition though !

If you ever get unmotivated from doing this. Just know that this one stat geek love you, and of all of TL's output, your column is his favorite (even more than his own).

Stephano's domination of his nation really is impressive. A tournament of national champions could be fun, particularly for EU. Maybe a state champion tourny in the US.

Goody fighting! nice to see him up there again, the tanks will take top dog again soon!

Statistically when a good player is participating in one or 2 cups each day for the last 2 month, he is poised to have success. After that fact, everything is purely speculative.

What exactly are you referring to here? What's speculative?
Are you saying that a good player participating and winning a lot of events consistently is a bad thing? Since when is tons of activity in money tournaments looked down upon?

I meant that a lot of people are overhyping him based on his online results. A lot of good players are often beaten by cheap cheese during the bo1 phases, he is very strong against it obviously but since the holidays started and more good players are registering for the weekly cups, he is less and less in the final phases - though it could perfectly be a coïncidence.
He is a good player certainly, but I won't (and I think no one should) say he is the best zerg EU based on his online performance. I'm still waiting for a good offline performance

Yeah, that's totally fair. I think he's quite amazing personally, and he has won some pretty huge online events against giant players, as well as a zillion smaller ones, but naturally it's hard to say he's 'best of the best' until he plays in more 'huge' sized LAN events.

Jinro looks more and more sad every time i see this picture.

I am on the verge of seeing this as sarcastic. Anyhow it doesn't really matter. Anyone is entitled to be the fan of whoever one thinks deserve it more

Haha, it's actually not sarcastic. Whether you think he's actually really good or not aside, there is no doubt that Nerchio has earned his mentions here though, as his actual results have surpassed most others in each of these releases.

Sup, the Ragequit Open #5 is actually not from July, but from June (!) (I believe #6 was canceled, #7 was rigged, #8 was canceled again, or something like that along the lines. #9 is set to take place today.)

Thanks for the update, zere.

Nearly 8000 Dollars in two weeks playing only rather small online cups. That is sick! Congrats to Stephano, THE up and coming Zerg in Europe together with Nerchio.

#3 in fact Stephano won most of his prizes on LAN, not online (if you were refering to him)

I first heard about him in discussion surrounding the Homestory III tournament. He may have participated there, but if not he sure seemed to be talked about a lot.
