it's a really hard call to make imho... you either pass on german EPS which definately is very prestigous among the german community or you tell a fucking huge mobile phone company that they cannot sponsor you and fly you to every MLG this year i wouldn't want to be in that situation, but i think i'd go with the same decision TLO has made | ||

Turkish airlines are pretty shit, I know that from my own experience. >_> Pleasant country, otherwise. Concerning TLO's scheduling issues... on the one hand, he applied for the EPS before making his contract with Sony Ericsson, so I feel like his priority should lie with the previous appointment, especially considering his history with the EPS. The EPS' prize money is also larger than that of MLG Columbus (12.000€ vs $14.000)... Looks like TL decided that the money and connections from the Sony Ericsson contract take priority. It's a shit thing to happen, and people will have to find some solution for this in the future because these scheduling conflicts between long-running leagues and one-off tournaments will continue to emerge as the sheer volume of events increases. | ||

MLG is obviously much more important than EPS (bigger audience, international competition, personal sponsorship). | ||
