Just saying, not only is this really bad for the image of eSports, it could also be the start of the end of MLG. Just think about it, if i were a sponsor and nothing works for the whole weekend, i would plaster them with lawsuits...

The sponsors probably paid big money and MLG wasnt able to deliver at all. Thats got nothing to do with mercy, its just a case of breach of contract. In that case the board of directors of a joint-stock company is forced to file a lawsuit, if they dont want to make themselves "guilty". A bit hard to explain, but basically, they have the obligation to work in the companys interest and therefore are forced to file the lawsuit. At least thats the way it is in germany.

There won't be any lawsuits over this, because I guarantee there is no breach here based on the terms of their contracts. Something such as Dallas internet fucking up is out of MLG's control. MLG would definitely include a clause to prevent liability in instances like this. Trust me, I'm a doctor... err law student =p
