Nice articles, as always, especially the battle reports. I think you give too much credit to Mind though, I thought the game was pretty horrible. But hey, you recognized the genius of Stork, so I can't complain !

Minor mistake in the Mind vs Shine battle report: scvs is misspelled as scbs.

Looks like Sea's well on his way to dropping out in another Ro16. He's so consistent with his choking.

Also I agree that the intro is kind of lacklustre, I thought the one for the Korean Air (Effort's) OSL was much cooler in comparison with the airport theme and the suits.

I suddenly feel an urge to go back and visit those 2007-2008 years... that Bacchus 2008 opening made me go back and visit all the memories from Savior's slow slump and Bisu's gradual rise.

Ah. Good times.

It seems like most articles focus on the period before 2007, while 2007-2008 just seem to be forgotten..

Well, Bacchus could have done a lot worse, Boys Like Girls and then Kelly Clarkson for the past OSLs. I don't mind this one though, it's pretty hard hitting.

I'm all for afroing random players for future reports, Afrodong plz ^^

Those battle reports were excellent, I learned a lot. I'm definitely looking forward to day 5 battle reports, to understand better what happened there.

I definitely liked Stork's play vs. Sea, I sometimes feel like arbiters are a waste of space and minerals when the protoss could just make more stuff instead and go kill the terran, clearly Stork agrees. It won't work in every situation, I'm sure, but it's definitely something to consider.

I don't know how 29837897 JD vs Flash finals haven't been able to capture the intensity of that Yellow-Boxer stare-off in the IOPS intro. Goddammit production teams, I need my nerdgasm -_-

Like the article on intros. I agree with everything you said, with one major exception. The Fantasy half turn and snap is awesome. It’s a pretty cool move on its own, but it’s fantasy the player that makes it great. It exemplifies him as “the terrorist.” Its far better than the generic punch, or collar pop, or other mover that plenty of progamers have done in the past, and will continue to do in the future. Other than Hiya rapping, which other mover can you say suit their performer? I guess the Jaedong hand beckon into crush kinda represents Jaedong, but there are plenty of others who could do it. (and the hyuk face cover is symbolic of how sometimes it seems like he is playing blind I guess, but yea…)

Oh, and the “cool” moment of the 2008 bacchus OSL was definitely the Ma Jae Yoon explosion. That is one of my favorite intros because of that move almost exclusively.

Keep up the good work.

On "originality":

I assumed this was a dig at GOM / SC2. It's not that this OSL is so much different than previous ones, it's that they are trying to play Coca-Cola Classic to GOM's New Coke / Coke 2.

I'm watching MSL right now and there are many empty seats while the latest GOM Final had the biggest SC2 crowd yet so I'm sure its a worry.
