Shuttle's been playing longer than Zero, definitely not a rising star imo but more of a guy who has been around and finally not playing completely terrible.

It's a good thing the Special stat was split into Special Attack and Special Defense in Generation II. This made Amnesia Mewtwo easily more Dominant in Generation I than any other Pokemon ever has in its respective Metagame.

Throughout its time in Generation II and III, Rhydon has actually been quite a force to deal with. Sure, it has x4 weaknesses to Water and Grass, but not every Pokemon has a Water/Grass attack. Having a STAB Earthquake/Rock Slide made it difficult to safely switch into it, especially with a high attack. Plenty of people used Rhydon in PvP battles. Obviously you're gonna have a Water type in your Single Player adventure for Surf, but PvP is different from single player.

I posted this elsewhere a couple weeks back, but Zero is looking like the new Hwasin (minus match-fixing). You will always bet on him to make the top 16 and usually the top 8, but not further than that.
