All the articles like this I will all love. I hope all the articles could be formal language and less idioms and slangs.

I recall one of the interviews after preliminaries where he said he was glad that he didn't run into a Z, since "he's always knocked out by Zerg." TLPD statistics: 35-16 vT 29-34 vZ 22-17 vP Under 50% vZ? Sure, he's beaten a few good vP Zergs recently; no that doesn't mean that he's considered very "good" vZ.

Your logic means Flash's TvP is weak. Most progamers are conscientious of the "weak" matchup. Stats has shown some really freaking great games against top ZvPers recently. Also you do a bad job of quoting TLPD to make a point. You're taking games from 09 and earlier prelims. He's beaten Effort and Zero twice in recent memory.

Seriously that ship story was painful to read. Can we not just stick to the articles and leave the fanfiction to their own threads? Flashius and Jaedos was not shitty. But this ship one was, kinda. Great write-up, guys, except for the ship.

I appreciate that you seem to be trying to be polite in your criticism. In fact, it may be that you're trying very hard to be polite. But when the meat of your post is just screaming flaming sack of critical bullshit, it's very hard to take whatever good intentions you may have for what they're worth. Keep in mind that writers don't get paid for what they do. They spend god knows how many hours each week churning out articles for TL because they love Starcraft, and they love giving the best Starcraft coverage to other people who love Starcraft. You may not appreciate the hours the author put into making this article just a little bit more enjoyable for the public. But please, don't tell me that your brain is so undersized that you can't spare just a single diminutive neuron to control those raging impulses to yell and kick and scream at everything that's not exactly the way you want it. If you want to criticize, be constructive about it. But if you want to flame, you can flame me for this response; you can flame whatever god you believe in for making yourself so remarkably unappreciative; but please, don't flame the writer, who put his heart and soul into this. Sorry if I offended you in any way.

Sorry if I offended you in any way. No offense taken. Honestly though? You're right, I could have phrased that more constructively. My apologies for that. But I honestly feel that some of the fanfictions recently really do detract from the otherwise very high quality of the articles. And when the creative writing sometimes takes up more of the article then the actual news content (remember it's in the news section right?) then it just becomes silly. See the Greek God story from the article a week or two back. I guess I just click on a article under the title 'Starcraft Pro Gaming news' expecting to see news. Sorry about that.

That's something you could PM flamewheel about. And yes, I think he's going to limit the amount (or length) of his "creative liberties" in the future. But your complaint isn't about the lack of coverage, but the addition of something you think is unnecessary. It would be like complaining about B.Net 2.0's Facebook integration if they already had chat channels and LAN and cross-realm play. It's much easier to just ignore it and focus on the "substance" that you like to read, while letting the people who enjoy the back stories do so as well.

No worries, I've learned you have to take the good with the bad. As for the fanfiction part, it will be reduced in the future as the games become more consolidated and (hopefully) better, leading to better battle reports and such.
