If he knew that was all it was gonna take to win, he would have just played standard. But he didn't. So given that we know he was playing to win, we can conclude he did not think relying on mechanics was the best way to do so. It was obvious that Idra knew he was gonna have to play to win to beat Nony. Doesn't the fact that Idra basically just steamrolled his way through the bracket with standard play, yet made very big changes to his game in this series indicate that he knew it was a different scenario? It wouldn't surprise me if Idra was watching Nony stream almost every time he was. I knew if I was is Idra's position, whether I was confident or not, I would watch Nony's stream for any possible incite into his playstyle, strengths, weaknesses, current shape...Anything I could. And I think it was based on Nony's streaming that he chose to play the way he did. To conclude my thoughts, this was not some kind of randomized cheese by Nony winning a series. Idra also made the choice to spice up his game. And he wouldn't make a choice to put himself at a disadvantage. | ||

  Mondragon vs   NonY finals.but first Mondragon has to beat  Sen in a zvsz. and thats not exactly his best mu. anyway he doesnt seem to play p against zergs anymore and his zvz is way better than it used to be back then.and anyone who can beat  sAviOr should be capable of beating Sen as well.+ Show Spoiler + | ||
