R3 Day 1 Results + Show Spoiler +
Interview: Winner of eX-v1o)MorroW vs mouz.Kolll + Show Spoiler +PokerStrategy.com TSL:Congratulations on qualifying for the TSL! How do you feel now? mouz.Kolll:I feel great since I can win at least 250$ now. PokerStrategy.com TSL:You dropped the first game to Morrow. Did that set you back mentally? Were you worried? mouz.Kolll:It didn't set me back because I've been losing a lot of series where I won the first game. So I thought it was a good sign for me to win the series since I lost the first game, if that makes any sense lol PokerStrategy.com TSL:Quite like Jaedong :-) How did the other games go from your point of view? mouz.Kolll:The second game he tried to sunken-bust allin me but because I knew it was coming I could prepare myself accordingly, so I was quite confident I would win. The 3rd game I was very worried when that huge army goliath/m&m army came out of his main, but I was able to stall the push quite a lot until I had high tech units. The 4th game was a normal 3hatch into 4gas lategame game and since I practice that a lot I was confident I would win the game PokerStrategy.com TSL:Did you expect a rush on Andromeda? You went for an unusual build for ZvT on that map: an overpool mouz.Kolll:A lot of terrans like to bunker rush on Andromeda because the map is so big and the zerg doesn’t expect this, and a lot of terrans think the zerg is gonna 12 hatch because of the map. So the most unpredictable strat is overpool, and it counters bunker rush perfectly. PokerStrategy.com TSL:You will play the winner of mouz.Fenix vs iG.Casper. What is your prediction for the match and what do you think about the players? (Fenix plays TvZ TvP PvT) mouz.Kolll:I don’t know who casper is so I can’t say much vs him. But Fenix is a strong TvZ player and he likes to play stuff I’m weak against. So I hope casper wins the series so that I don’t have to play vs fenix. But I think fenix wins the series although I don’t know who casper is. PokerStrategy.com TSL:How did you practice for the match today? mouz.Kolll:I partly played with my smurf vs Korean terrans and partly played vs clanmates/friends. And fortunately morrow uploaded his repack on TL, so I was able to research what he does on each map, so I had a lot of information about his playstyle before I played him. PokerStrategy.com TSL:Haha so I guess we won’t see your repack for a while. You will have 2 weeks now until the TSL starts. Are you going to prepare similarly? mouz.Kolll:Since it is 2 weeks I won’t play ONLY vs my next opponents race, but of course I will play a lot of games to get far in the tournament and try to get reps of my opponents and study them. PokerStrategy.com TSL:Alright then, thank you very much for the interview and good luck in the TSL, kolll! mouz.Kolll:Thanks
Interview: Winner of GosI[Terran] vs mTw.iNfeRnaL + Show Spoiler +PokerStrategy.com TSL:Congrats on beating Infernal and qualifying for the TSL! how do you feel? GosI[Terran]:I feel good since I played almost as high skill play as I could PokerStrategy.com TSL:Can you describe what happened in each game a bit, and how you felt at the critical moments in them? GosI[Terran]:In the first game on Fighting Spirit it was a reallly dynamic game since I went for a timing push and he went for fast Arb, so it was a really high action game, but I lost due some bad control when I was in Protoss natural. In the 2nd game on Outsider I just did a totally good build against what he did and won pretty easily. I just abused the map to the max on 3rd game on Destination lol so good game. We both did mistakes but it was really good game I think And in the 4th game i just did a good timing push against what he was doing PokerStrategy.com TSL:How did you prepare for this match? Who were your practice partners? GosI[Terran]:None. I was gonna play GosI[Flying] and GosI[SeCret], but they were busy so I just practiced against computer(build order, build placement) on each map and spot and than just laddered. PokerStrategy.com TSL:Infernal has a bit of a reputation as choking in important games... did you feel he choked in these, or were you just a better player? GosI[Terran]:No, he didn’t choke. He played solid and strong… didnt feel like he was playing bad or anything, I guess I just played more solid than him. PokerStrategy.com TSL:You've been compared to IdrA[Media], stylistically. Do you feel it's an apt comparison? How would you describe the way you play? GosI[Terran]:Well Idra and I like to go to macro games, but I don’t really play like him. He actually does a lot of timing pushes. I rarely play that; I like to sit all game or till 200/200. Idra does too but he does that less(i think). That’s in tvp though PokerStrategy.com TSL:I see. As you know, Idra, mouz.IefNaij, Draco, and RoX.Kis.BRAT_OK are already in the RO16 with you. How would you rate your chances vs each of those players if you happen to meet them? GosI[Terran]:Well I just will practice to play whoever I gotta play. I don’t wanna go into details about each one; they are all strong so I gotta play stronger. PokerStrategy.com TSL:Since you're a bit unknown to the foreigner scene, can you rank your matchups relatively? GosI[Terran]:To be honest, all my matchups are equal since I play all of them a lot, so I don’t feel I have one weaker or one stronger, but all around same skill. PokerStrategy.com TSL:Are you going to do anything to celebrate your victory today? GosI[Terran]:No, just practice PokerStrategy.com TSL:You’ve mentioned wanting to be a progamer, right? What are your plans for that? Do you plan to win the TSL and then head to Korea, or what? GosI[Terran]:Gonna play my best for TSL and keep practicing hard to be a progamer. I don’t really know anything about it PokerStrategy.com TSL:Do you have a favorite progaming team? ^^ GosI[Terran]:Yea if I could pick one to join I would pick Woongjing StarsPokerStrategy.com TSL:Why is that? GosI[Terran]:I don’t know, I just like that team, got no idea why :X PokerStrategy.com TSL:Well OK then! Do you have any final messages for your fans? Any shoutouts etc.? GosI[Terran]:Yes i would like to thank: Idra(My Father) Artosis(My Mother) and KingDino(My Brother) for helping me out Thx Oh yea suddenattack owns PokerStrategy.com TSL:haha, thanks for the interview and good luck against IefNaij and any future opponents! GosI[Terran]:thx bb

Wow I really didn't expect that from castro vs mana set.... sick. Guess time to see replays what happened there, artosis mentioned something about lag issues or w/e in the cast.
I cant believe he sleeps on korean times to practice with only koreans. What a badass.

Game 1 was laggyish apparently (I was never in it the way I was the other two)--someone else was the ref for that, but I did the ref for the rescheduled time myself.
We then postponed Mana vs Castro for several hours until Castro had alternate internet and Mana had finished some other commitment he had. The other games after the postponement didn't have lag issues from what I experienced.
koll has such insane potential it's crazy, he's only 14? That's ridiculous.

PokerStrategy.com TSL:Are you going to do anything to celebrate your victory today?
GosI[Terran]:No, just practice He'll go far.
PokerStrategy.com TSL: Do you have a favorite progaming team? ^^
GosI[Terran]: Yea if I could pick one to join I would pick Woongjing Stars
...
...
Doh!
Woa i honestly expected MorroW to win even though i guess most thought koll would take it.
Wow...Gosi[terran] actually has secret and flying as potential practice partners? Really?
Good games today, best players won.
Awesome games, amazing play by both GosI[Terran] and Infernal in their series can't wait for more.
CASTRO! All the way, baby!
This GosI[Terran] fellow has a fine taste in progaming teams Then again if he joins them he will become a woongjin terran
Also some great play by him, gotta love medic marine in TvP.
Haha I bet GosI[Terran] wants to join Woongjin so that he can abuse their lack of Terran players to get into proleague matches more easily

Nice too see the honesty by kolll. Some foreign "gosus" would never admit to studying opponent replays. Good job Terran!
GosI[Terran] vs mTw.iNfeRnal series were so entertaining, especially since stream didn't lag at all.
GosI[Terran]:Yea if I could pick one to join I would pick Woongjin Stars
You just got yourself a fan!
Great series, looking forward to the TSL proper.
GosI vs iNfernal -> epic games
MaNa vs Castro -> makes me sad
So nice, gl now juan. Iefnaij aint easy so u gotta practice some, but u can make it gl and gj vs infernal!
Terran and Infernal games were really exciting, sexy play from both, too bad only one of them goes on in the Ro16.
Wow, I cant believe kolll beat Morrow.

GosI's second game was amazing with that 5rax :D

i saw outsider and desti game from terran vs infernal. Very impressive play by terran
Great games Koll is really impressive
What did Castro mean when he said "I cant play" "estoy borracho" during the 2nd game between him and Mana?

estoy borracho = I'm drunk.
Noone's mentioning Castro - Mana series? That was some sick sick mass macroing O_O
yeah castro vs mana was nice. but on the other hand mana didn't play that good it seems to me. he had a lot of overmins, for example in the last match he had only 8 gates for the whole game and this in a real macro slaughter fest. funny fact: watch closely at castro's main on the minimap shortly before the last game ends.
Why didnt they use their TSL id's?

What are you talking about? I was just saying I thought Morrow would take the series. Thats it. Stop overthinking a simple statement.

lol@castro telling he is drunk -_-;;

Interesting way to win on Andromeda and put those extra minerals to good use. Good work Terran!
Out of curiosity, what's the name of the song they played before/between games?

they did the commentating. carnac was the observer ingame!
Nice GM from Morrow. He has earned a fan
the whole Terran vs infernal series was amazing. I cant wait do see more of Terran, he seems like a smart player.
Also it's really sick that he sleeps doing korean time to practice to practice with koreans - That's a true gamer!

Who was the obser? kennigit? Carnac It was great to watch a game where you didn't facepalm at the observer the whole time watching the game. For instance, check some of Moletrap's replaycasts. (He shows like T's base and in the meanwhile a huge battle happens in the middle and the players trade armies and an expo dies, then he finally notices and goes like "oh seems like this expo was taken out, sorry guys for missing that!" -.- so annoying)

hes quite good, far and away the best t outside korea mechanically.
I'm glad kolll got through, the kid has real talent, and GosI[Terran] too, he's consistently impressed me with the level he plays at.

poor pat just had to be matched against terran =[
Pretty impressed by the players, sick games we had. A bit sad that the two players i cheered for (Morrow and Infernal) lost, but wow Kolll's playwas impressive and Terran was pretty damn good too.
whoever said castro's macro was good (and i do remember reading this): i have never seen such a high level player overhatch so much to compensate for poor macro. he has like 12 hatches when he can afford maybe 7. spare larvae heaven.
but he has all my respect for spending his time spelling with his overlords
Great torrent.. everyone is stuck at 84%! .. Somone should make a spoiler free tread about this, kinda hard to write here without accidentally spoiling !
wow, koll is good. hope he goes far.

PokerStrategy.com TSL needs to interview CaStrO

Just WOW, Koll is impressive and Terran left me with my mouth wide open, the final game on andromeda was great...

He said in the interview that he was going to play against secret and flying. Both are his teammates so I'm pretty sure he actual knows them. If you are really good it's actually not that hard to join a "gosu" korean clan if you idle in the channel and play against them. Tho it's impressive that he knows the top players/actual gosus out of the team and they are willing to practice with him.

Damn i i wish they casted mana vs castro instead of morrow vs kolll.
So awesome play by castro what a macro beast. He got really wierd "oldschool" start bo's compared to most zergs but after mid game he reminds me of good old days july sauron style. One example july vs rock on ROV
Awesome to watch this is how a true zerg should be played instead of today gay ht snipes !
Castro is such a macro whore and Mana's PvZ seems a lil bit shaky, but nice games tho.

Awesome to watch this is how a true zerg should be played instead of today gay ht snipes ! damn straight Casting Mana vs Castro was originally planned! There were problems with their game though, so it had to be postponed, making it impossible to use it for the cast. So we had to sub the Morrow vs Kolll game in.

I definitely thought infernal was one of the more impressive players in R1 n R2 so props to Terran ... also, i was glad to see morrow's manners after the game 4 loss, "gl in tsl kolll" ... BM can be very entertaining but its always nice to see things like that... in both of kolll's series, he dropped the first game but then won out... went from 0-1 to 2-1 vs octzerg and then 0-1 to 3-1 vs morrow... tough kid
wow kolll morrow on andro was incredible kolll is such a styler. not pulling his lurk back to buy time for swarm, he just let them die in front of morrows base and later just 1a2a3a'ed small groups of ultras/cracklings to win the game wow, just wow
