I dont think it is fair that Idra can act like he only lost that one game because of some imbalance, I am fairly sure even artosis said the maps actually were favoured to him. (the last three).
No doubt I am going to be called a "european without a sense of humour" but i mean even if i enjoyed bm it was hardly creative stuff, just leaving the game without gg, oooh inventive, i mean maybe a bm one liner would have been funny, but that leaving the game was just pointless, why he didnt acknowledge that Nony played well is a mystery.
Furthermore is it not fair that you use abusive builds occasionly? I thought the better players complained about imbalances less? All in all I am pretty annoyed that Idra has such a large advantage over the rest of competition, with playing in korea for over a year, surely that is imba?

It is a shame, Idra probably deserves to win since hes put the most work into it, but still he doesnt deserved to be respected for it if he cant be mature and type gg, it is very simple just 2 letters.
Basically grow up Idra, it is a game, if you are pissed gg and leave the game dont just leave the game it just creates unnecessary tension. If you feel you should have won, and then lose, deal with it. You are a big boy now (figuratively).

For anyone who thinks idra is just dandy, i think it is a fair assumption that a) you are american or b) you are a glory hunter. If you are in group a, fair enough nothing wrong with a sense of nationalism, but dont enable Idra to be bm just because you are proud that your countryman is the best (foreigner). And if you are b) maybe you should judge character before you say Idra's bm is "so fucking funny", I think you will agree he is just a small prick with an over inflated ego.

GG anyways.

how about c) because Idra's BM realy makes things much better than they already are.

Now tell me, which battle report thread would you rather read:
1) One that is full of "omg nice game", "you two sounded like best friends!!! ^_^", "awesome sportsmanship", "both of you are winners in my book!!!!". *insert carebare pictures*

OR

2) HOLY FUCK THATS FUCKING RUDE!!! ... GFY IDRA YOU BM TWAT!!! ..... YOURE SUCH A DICK SOMETIMES .... LOL WAY TO GO IDRA, *insert Idra's random comment* LOL CLASSIC!!! .........

Iono about you guys, but imo since this is not a gentle men league so I would have to go for 2.

I'd rather see 1..

If progaming is going to become a recognized sport you have to realize you can't have immature kids like that acting like douchebags and expect people not to criticize him.

I don't understand how you can honestly defend someone who acts like such a prick like that. Totally beyond me. I really thought the average age of the forum wasn't thirteen. If your going to compete at a professional level you should be acting professional.

If Idra doesn't win the TSL, wouldn't CJ be really pissed for wasting time? Cause it seems that they're going out of their way to help Idra.

I think a lot of TLers and a lot of SC fans in general have just looked the other way at IdrA, hoping that he would eventually grow up and maybe show some respect or maturity, if not humility.

IMO, he's a massive embarrassment for American SC. He's been playing for years and still acts like a 12-year-old on xbox live when he has to face other humans.

I question whether you actually play on xbox live with that statement.. And an embarrassment would be if he didn't get this good with his time spent in korea. Not putting on a facade in interviews, and showing some personality... not as far as I'm concerned.

Professional sports are filled with people who make jokes and complain. They're the people who get paid even more because they put fans in the stands and can make story lines for games interesting rather than just the games themselves. Boring personalities and stock answers are just that; boring.

No, it would be rather short-sighted to consider practicing a waste of time whenever it doesn't result in a first place finish.

How is it that people are still getting offended by Idra's antics?

When you actually participate in a professional sport you'd understand. Players like that are looked down upon so much.

Attitude problems and immaturity are not cool, and usually once people grow up, they realize this.

I'm not saying that people don't like the drama, they do. But it's still fucking sad as hell to see. I'm watching thesport to watch the sport, I could care less about the drama. Go watch the hills please :/

This made me smile . Pretty awesome that CJ is taking this seriously.

What's that? Create a straw man argue based around an assumption? There's a shocker.

I'm not speaking from the stance of a participant in the activity; I'm speaking as a spectator. I want to be entertained and amused when I'm watching a sport or e-sport. Personalities make the game more interesting and a bunch of fucking robotic answers coming out of people that are lying through their teeth to pretend to be nice or not angry makes for bad entertainment.

People who complain about this crap are the same people who complained about end zone dances in the NFL and ruined it for everybody else.

Lol?

It's a huge deal they acknowledge it and make accommodations for him.

Artosis mentioned it during the cast and I wondered if I heard correctly... I was in disbelief CJ would do something like this for a foreigner for a completely foreign event. It shows CJ really cares about Idra and him doing well in TSL.

We all heard horror stories of Ret's brief time on Estro with hostilities/problems towards teammates or not getting many games in house. And Idra's early days in Korea where he just massed on iccup cuz nobody in the house would play him... It's quite amazing CJ recognizes Idra in this way and to actually be told to skip a league for TSL is quite amazing and means alot.

It's really encouraging for me to hear news like this and you sit there trivializing it stupidly.

You really shouldn't be watching starcraft games and expecting to be entertained by some sweet drama llama action.

I guess it's just a difference in taste. I see this stuff and think wow, act less like a 10 year old please. You see it and think hilarious. w/e

I don't watch starcraft expecting, demanding, or anticipating drama. It's like doing the laundry and finding a $20 in one of the pockets. I wasn't looking for it but I'll be damned if I'm not happy I found it. For the record: I don't find Idra hilarious. I think his antics are often times amusing and give an otherwise boring interview something interesting.

A straw man argument is creating an argument against a position I don't actually hold or believe it. Your argument being that I don't compete in professional games or sports of anykind. This is a false assumption which you attempted to use.

Congrats on the win, and congrats to (P)(us)NonY as well for his play.

I am only saying that he is immature. He's not "putting on a show" or just trolling, he is flat out immature and unsportsmanlike. It's obvious to anyone watching that he isn't trying to entertain, he just can't control his temper. There's nothing wrong with trash talk or hype or personality, but I have never so much as seen IdrA be respectful to a single opponent.

I don't deny the he has gotten better in Korea, It's just sad that the lone representative of foreign starcraft can't even say "GG".
