Wait, I think he's asking if mafia can be mayor, in which case yeah. Mafia members are assigned before the game starts, and mayor is elected on the first day of the game, so if a mafia gets enough votes he can become mayor.

I think that if FS says that caller is bodyguard, then we move on and try to go after lynching another possibility and see if caller gets gets hit by the mob tonight. If he doesn't die then we can decide if we want to lynch him next day, if he does get killed then that just means that we saved ourselves from wasting a day lynching a dead man. However I don't think that FS would lie, because if he's lieing and he is mafia then he just made a pretty stupid move, because when Caller does get lynched (I hope he doesn't get lynched tonight, but I feel he will get lynched eventually whether because of a vote or vigilante) and it turns out he's mafia then that would undoubtedly prove FS is mafia (because mafia can't be bodyguards so it'd mean that FS was defending a mafia this whole time), and since I don't believe FS would make such a stupid move I have to agree with Caller being a BG.

So for that reason I'll go ahead and Vote for Live2Win to get lynched I don't really have a strong feeling about this so I probably will change my vote eventually. However I'm just trying to offset the caller votes for now.

Bodyguard - Random towny(ies) will receive the role of bodyguard once the mayor and pardoner have been elected. The mayor alone will know who these people are.

Random and townies. Meaning that Chuiu picks bodyguards randomly out of a pool of plain townies, so only townies without special roles can be randomly chosen as a body guard. Mafia don't count as townies, they pretend to be townies in the game, but by the rules they're never classified as townies.

Edit: ok I'm only assuming that bodyguards can't have any other towny roles, but I'm pretty sure everything else is fact.
Edit2: Ok technically mafia ARE townies during the day, but during night they're purely mafia and since bodyguards work only in the night it's not possible for a mafia to be bodyguard.

(also that wouldn't make logical sense in a "realistic" point of view, because then wouldn't a mafia bodyguard kill the mayor the first chance he gets?)

eh? what do you mean? If they're a towny then we're that much closer to losing this game and we've wasted a lynch, if they're mafia then we're that much closer to winning the game and one more mafioso from reducing the mafias kill power. For the sake of arguement I'm going to pretend that FS is mafia...but even if he is mafia wouldn't it be worth it to keep him around for him to use his remaining double lynches? Statistically (ok, i"m noob at statistics but it should be obvious) that using up all of our double lynches will most likely favor townies. Right now the only threat FS has to us townies is his 3 extra votes, however as Zapling mentioned, as long as us townies greatly outnumber FS and the mafia (and we make sure not to make any dumbass moves) he poses no threat to us. So we should at least wait until our numbers have decreased or FS has used up all of his double lynches before we think about lynching him.

There aren't any promotions if we lynch FS then we get no more mayors, noone gets promoted, noone gets elected, we just continue on without a mayor.
