I'm currently thinking both the slam townreads and the rayn scumreads are wacky.

When the case against the hydra is mostly based off an innate distrust for hydras and rayn's drunk posting that tells me all I need to know.
Unfortunately I'll mostly be phone posting until late today.
I had rayn as town for the HF stuff in the beginning but I may need to reevaluate based off the last 12 hours.

I agree with all of your points and none of those make him scum. I think Rayn started the game very opportunistically, then transitioned to a lot more of a defensive game. Yes, some of that is reaction to pressure being applied to him, but this is his scum game, I'm very confident.
Also, if I'm drinking as town, I'm more likely to rant (incoherently) about people not voting for my target than I am to just come in to say "fuck you" repeatedly in as many posts as possible.
