Realized it is the exact inverse of this. They understand my words perfectly fine but the meaning is utterly changed, often comically to the exact opposite of my intent. See the thing where I had to tell someone I was against sent being elected mayor as so outlandish an idea that the man hadn’t even tried to attain it himself- was instead interpreted as “he shouldn’t be mayor because he didn’t run”. | ||
