Man I don't remember that game at all. If you look at the last post in my filter though I don't take credit 'cause my team was good. Reading a little of it I lurked the shit out of that game because things were very busy for me at that time in my life (board exams coming up, just graduated) but also because I had never really tried 'actively lurking' before and wanted to change things up considering how active I normally was in literally every game where my filter was among the biggest.

We are lynching ONLY HF OR BH tomorrow.
The game can't proceed properly until that's done. Of those two, I'd rather HF die. Not sure if for personal/fun reasons or not, but whateva. I will not be pushing anyone else actively.

Reading this again, the Trfel thing looks bad, but look at how totally ok she was with Palmar flipping, ostensibly when she thought HE PROBABLY WOULDN'T. Rather than committing to her scumread on Palmar she drops the hard stance before the flip.

She wants to look good because she's supposed to know Trfel and everyone on Palmar is going to look like shit regardless.

Hf in what world is palmar scum here? Antagonizing a bunch of people (whether meaning to or not) taking firm control of town---there is zero reason for scum to do any of this, or give up position on easy mislynches from a mayor position (assuming sentinel is town, for example).

Take his right/wrongness out of the equation. Pobodys nerfect.

I wish I had had more time to push this point, because it was literally all that was important.

I can't talk about pages 1-100 but as Day 1 came to an end, there was a 3-way race for mayor between Holyflare and Palmar, and to a lesser extent Iamperfection. There was no clear lead for who would be lynched, with Trfel, Oats, Acro, and Conversion all hitting 4-5 votes at one point or another.

With about 6 hours left in the day, I came by and basically admitted there was no way I was going to read the first 100 pages, and said that it would be fine to lynch me so someone else would have a chance to play through Day 2 and enjoy the game (basically martyring). I lobbed down a self-vote (which later turned out to be not allowed), and voted for the guy who most recently got a mayor vote, Palmar.

Following this, I got a wave of votes - from HF, Acro, Grack, and Iamp, who seemed extremely pleased with himself for figuring out that he should vote me.

Over the next couple of hours, mayor voting consolidated, with HF and Palmar being neck and neck, and iamp falling behind. HF ran on a platform of lynching Palmar, and Palmar ran on a platform of lynching Sent for a variety of reasons inclusive of a policy lynch of Sent for failing to read his role PM.

with about a half an hour left in the game, rayn, FF, iamp, Damdred brought HF to several votes over HF, pushing him into a comfortable lead over Palmar, and most of the votes consolidated onto either me or Trfel.

with 10 minutes left, HF basically had the mayor vote locked up, 4 votes ahead of Palmar, thanks to Damdred and Iamp also hopping on his mayor wagon. For the lynch, I had 10 votes to Trfel's 9:

Blazinghand (10): Holyflare, Grackaroni, iamperfection, Oatsmaster, WaveOfShadow, raynpelikoneet, Trfel, Vivax, rsoultin, Conversion
Trfel (9): Tubesock, sicklucker, [UoN]Sentinel, Koshi, Mr. Wiggles, Tumblewood, Fecalfeast, Jockmcplop, Acrofales

You'll note my vote isn't on Trfel here, I keep it on Iamp since he's a shitter and I don't want to accidentally get someone other than me lynched.

The last 10 minutes are shenannies:

Exo comes in and votes me, making it 11-9.

3 minutes to the deadline, Vivax swaps over from me to Trfel, tying it up at 10-10 (though i'll be lynched in this tie)

2 minutes to the deadline, Lightingstrike jumps from his irrelevant rsoultin vote onto me, making it 11 votes on me, 10 on Trfel.

1 Minute from the Deadline, conversion hops off of me and onto Trfel, causing Trfel to have 11 votes and me to have 10.

Trfel flips Doctor.

HF uses his mayoral power to kill Palmar, the backup Cop.

In the world you're pitching to me, where both you and Trfel are town, why are these people switching votes with 1-2 minutes left on the clock at all, rather than just doing nothing?

There's a couple of possibilities.

for vivax and conversion, they might be townies who legitimately think Trfel was suspicious, and in their heart they nullread me and hope I get vigied or mayor-killed. Trfel was whining a lot as the deadline approached, which might have contributed to them dislike him. If they're scum, the last minute shenannies may have been for any reason - perhaps they thought I was sure to be a VT due to my lack of concern with being killed, and Trfel was Blue due to his whining (both of which turn out to be true), or in the case of Scum-Vivax, hoping to look like someone who tried and failed to avert the tragic lynch of town blazinghand since his voteswap didn't actually save me.

For LS, I think he just accepted my martyring as "scum or useless, let's kill him" and realized his vote on rsoultin was doing literally nothing. if he's scum, he might ahve been trying to get onto a main wagon to avoid suspicion for staying out of the main battle.

despite HF's promise to shoot Palmar with the mayor power, maybe they thought he'd use it on me. Maybe (and perhaps correctly) they figured I'd be vigged anyways. maybe they thought my lynch would be boring and provide little info.

And in any case, if you're scum, making a bit fuss out of two competing town wagons can make you look good if you pull it off right, since...

In this case, you lynch or vig BH first, because conversion's scum-nature is contingent on mine. And if you're conversion, you know town will think this, and lynch me first, and when I flip town, Conversion is then off the hook. by shenanniying from me onto Trfel, he sets up a Day 2 mislynch, theoretically speaking.

though that's fairly WIFOMey, it's the kind of play I like to do as scum. I'm sure there are others who use it.

If you could flip 3 people right now, who are they?

Me, HF, and Conversion would lay clear all the facts about what went down at the end of D1. I think a lot of questions and WIFOM get washed away when HF and conv flip, and doubly so for me - at least from the POV of people who aren't me. Also, flipping me now means our blues get to take better night actions, freeing up a vigi shot for someone else. A lot of the meat of what we need to dig into is what went down as we rolled towards the deadline D1. We know HF killed Palm, who flipped blue, and Conv's vote on Trfel killed Trfel and saved me. Flipping HF and Conv who made these ruinous decisions would lay it all out. Flipping me would also end all this stupid analysis where people assume I'm scum and go from there.

Though it might be wiser to go back through and see who has contributed least and maybe sub them in for one or two of these guys, just because any low activity players you can't get a read on are going to be either scum or a liability in the lategame (since scum won't shoot them obvs)

And really, when it comes down to it, HF should have had his finger on that dial, ready to send in a "actually i'm killing BH" pm to hosts when it was a 1-vote spread between me and Trfel's wagon. I may be the shenanigan king, but lots of people know to stick around the deadline, particularly when things are so close.

Bear in mind, in the final moments leading up to the shenannies, HF is there, in the thread, comming on last minute mafia activity (link) and saying that I am a "secure mafia lynch" (3 minutes before deadline). HF was there, in the thread, when the votes shifted. He watched it happen. He complained about it. He said I was scum.

Bear in mind, if HF truly thinks I was scum, he knew that at that point, the vote was tied 10-10 and I hadn't yet voted! All I had to do was cast a vote on Trfel and Trfel would die and I would live, HF, supposedly thinking i'm scum and in this situation, while we're both in the thread, with minutes to go, who thinks i'm "secure" as mafia, apparently decided to go for Palmar instead.

In the end, HF hung out in the thread, watched the shenannies threaten to kill Trfel over me, tie up the vote with me still not voted on Trfel, then the vote goes onto Trfel and Trfel takes the lead, all while claiming I'm "secure mafia lynch"

if I were in this situation I would be on a hair trigger, ready to take down the "secure mafia lynch" that is only winning by a 1-vote margin in case of shenannies.

He will have many pretty, fancy reasons for why he did this, of course. He may even be town, town is wrong and screws up all the time. The host's vote counts were not very quick and accurate in the final minutes. But them's the things that happened. So yeah, I'd flip him along with me and conv ezpz and we'd see the truth.

The main reason is I just didn't care and if Palmar flipped mafia that would be pretty cool.

I mean that's cool and all, but if we lose this game and you're town

I kind of want to revisit my case on Rsoul because people have been picking at it and on second glance it does feel a bit weak. I want to look at stuff in the context of what Acro came up with as well.
