I go and I look at the DF kill, and I ask myself who benefits from this? I have read DF's filter 2 times now, and the only person I see benefit ting is ruxx. Now you can say to me "hey ritoky you ever consider they were setting ruxx up?". But who? And why did no one try and convert on that set-up, there was no big ruxx is mafia push the subsequent day with NK justification as a framing for why he is mafia. From what I recall (and I may recall a bit wrong) Zen's beef was regarding ruxx twisting his words, oats was in the tunnel, and krogan's was that ruxx just copies other people's reads and pawns them off as his own. So if it wasn't a set-up, then why else would DF be killed there? Blue read? For the life of me I have gone through DFs filter and I have found 0 reason to ever blue read him in there. Perhaps that is contaminated by hindsight, but with HF spewing blue everywhere you're looking for 1 blue as mafia and the aggro/abrasive manner in which DF was playing was not reading blue at all. Activity? DF wasn't particularly active, maybe slightly above the low bar of this game, but he wasn't in a place to run the game as town leader with 10 pages a day. Clout? DF had very minimal influence in the town structure so it wasn't like he had people sheeping him like an alternative kill did in Damdred. So if he wasn't killed for activity, being a town leader, voting to lynch mafia, a blue read, or as a setup on ruxx....then why the fuck was this guy killed? So I dig deeper, is it a fear lynch for DFs carry potential....well no offense to the guy, but I don't think so when compared to the alternatives of shooting a damdred who just lynched mafia d1 and is universally TR or shooting a HF who is spewing blue or (if he isn't mafia) shooting a ruxxar who is dwarfing people in pure page count. Also as far as I know Damerion, Zen, and Krogan have basically never played with DF so they don't have tons of reason to fear the guy for reputation or past play; so they aren't making that shot for that reason. So the only place I keep ending up at is that the guy was shot for good reads. Go to his filter and look at his reads, he is on ruxx and tt like white on rice. To me it reads like what happens often in mafia QTs where 1 rando dude has god reads on D1 and the people he has dead to rights go "he has to die". My gut tells me ruxx called for a shot on DF cuz DF had him dead to rights. Now if that is all just a giant pile of wifom to you, which could be understandable; I have other reasons. 1) I don't feel like ruxx believes much of what he types. I don't feel any emotional charge behind anything when he writes it, I don't feel passion, it feels empty. That and he moves on from shit too quickly. Townies tend to hold onto things beyond the point that it is healthy. 2) He spins like a top. I honestly couldn't tell you who he wants to lynch today because I think he has tried to test the waters on most every1 to the point where I don't think he feels very strongly about pushing a singular lynch and is instead looking for the one with the most traction before putting his chips down. 3) He has too much to say about too little. He writes paragraphs in response to sentences that I, as town, read and my response is "yep" or "meh". Almost like he has to produce compelling thoughts or a complete response to every tiny thing. Town are so much more apt to brush things off or ignore them or dismiss them, whereas he seems very keen on having his fingerprints all over everything. 4) He has a lot of empty posts where he talks in a circle or weighs out options, but more often than not all of them ruminating never converts into a conclusion that leads to action; it is pages upon pages of considering while he sits on his hands. Now I am aware that there are points to be made against this such as 1) lynched mafia (yeah but the alternative was he died) and 2) activity (yeah but if you go look at his past games alignment is irrelevant in regards to his activity level). But it currently is a gut feeling I am having a hard time shaking because the game doesn't make a ton of sense to me. I think Krogan is town. This means that the first wagon cannot be pure. Which means it is shockey + zen exactly, Damerion is going deep into the Damdred pocket for the long con (which is tough for me to wrap my head around), or it was MvM which makes the game significantly more sensible. That said I have 0 idea who I would peg as ruxxar's potential partner right now, I haven't gotten that far. So if there's people out there who disagree, then please assuage my gut feelings. | ||
