I need to do a reread of Rels. I actually really hated the fact that he got stuck up on a single post from the newbie but I attributed that to him just being bad. It's actually a pretty bold move as scum but from the scum perspective it's likely he didn't actually expect the newbie to get lynched. 1. Pretty much everyone in the game has said that they are suspicious of Shape, but only one person has actually voted with those suspicions. This is often an indication that someone is just skating by, a pretty big scum trait, whereas people who very obviously stick out are generally not scum. I'm fairly certain we'd get a good amount of blowback to a lynch effort on Shapelog as well, which would be great, because I seriously doubt that the resistance would make Shapelog look better.
2. Shapelog constantly pratters on and on without seeming to actually contribute anything. Given that Shapelog has like 1/5 of this game's posts, you would think that it would be easy to figure out Shapelog's reads and thoughts on the game with a single read-through of the game. Yet, nothing has stuck out, and I cannot actually recall anything Shapelog has said of substance without going filter diving and detail hunting.
3. I found myself spotting a lot of posts of Shapelog's that are of the "I'm going to do X" or "hi I'm here" kind of thing. The self-focus is very strong, and not something that many townies do. Examples:

Note that I could go back and find a dozen other posts with the exact same theme, but the idea here is that Shapelog spends a gigantic amount of time saying things like "I'm going to do X" which are incredibly self-focused and seem to just be intended at convincing the thread that useful things are being done.
4. Both of Shapelog's suspicion posts have been of the form "would not mind lynching", as opposed to the more towny approach of "I think this dude is scum, let me vote him and convince all of the rest of you why we should kill him." Shapelog's approach at least from my perspective has been more in the camp of "let me see what sticks by meekly calling a bunch of different people suspicious and then go with the flow".

Also if anyone thinks there is a better lynch, please provide one. Note that I could go back and find a dozen other posts with the exact same theme, but the idea here is that Shapelog spends a gigantic amount of time saying things like "I'm going to do X" which are incredibly self-focused and seem to just be intended at convincing the thread that useful things are being done.
4. Both of Shapelog's suspicion posts have been of the form "would not mind lynching", as opposed to the more towny approach of "I think this dude is scum, let me vote him and convince all of the rest of you why we should kill him." Shapelog's approach at least from my perspective has been more in the camp of "let me see what sticks by meekly calling a bunch of different people suspicious and then go with the flow".

If anybody sees anything that causes them to think Shapelog is town, please point it out. There are a couple things that lead me to be a bit unsure but I'd be curious if anyone else notices them. Also if anyone thinks there is a better lynch, please provide one. I would ordinarily be annoyed with the number of noncontributors we have but I'm actually pretty happy with the state of my reads of those people who actually have posted. The process of elimination should become easier with a bit more time. With that said, since I probably won't be here to drive the lynch, I propose that we kill Shapelog today.
1. Pretty much everyone in the game has said that they are suspicious of Shape, but only one person has actually voted with those suspicions. This is often an indication that someone is just skating by, a pretty big scum trait, whereas people who very obviously stick out are generally not scum. I'm fairly certain we'd get a good amount of blowback to a lynch effort on Shapelog as well, which would be great, because I seriously doubt that the resistance would make Shapelog look better.
2. Shapelog constantly pratters on and on without seeming to actually contribute anything. Given that Shapelog has like 1/5 of this game's posts, you would think that it would be easy to figure out Shapelog's reads and thoughts on the game with a single read-through of the game. Yet, nothing has stuck out, and I cannot actually recall anything Shapelog has said of substance without going filter diving and detail hunting.
3. I found myself spotting a lot of posts of Shapelog's that are of the "I'm going to do X" or "hi I'm here" kind of thing. The self-focus is very strong, and not something that many townies do. Examples:

The process of elimination should become easier with a bit more time. With that said, since I probably won't be here to drive the lynch, I propose that we kill Shapelog today.
1. Pretty much everyone in the game has said that they are suspicious of Shape, but only one person has actually voted with those suspicions. This is often an indication that someone is just skating by, a pretty big scum trait, whereas people who very obviously stick out are generally not scum. I'm fairly certain we'd get a good amount of blowback to a lynch effort on Shapelog as well, which would be great, because I seriously doubt that the resistance would make Shapelog look better.
2. Shapelog constantly pratters on and on without seeming to actually contribute anything. Given that Shapelog has like 1/5 of this game's posts, you would think that it would be easy to figure out Shapelog's reads and thoughts on the game with a single read-through of the game. Yet, nothing has stuck out, and I cannot actually recall anything Shapelog has said of substance without going filter diving and detail hunting.
3. I found myself spotting a lot of posts of Shapelog's that are of the "I'm going to do X" or "hi I'm here" kind of thing. The self-focus is very strong, and not something that many townies do. Examples:

Note that I could go back and find a dozen other posts with the exact same theme, but the idea here is that Shapelog spends a gigantic amount of time saying things like "I'm going to do X" which are incredibly self-focused and seem to just be intended at convincing the thread that useful things are being done.
4. Both of Shapelog's suspicion posts have been of the form "would not mind lynching", as opposed to the more towny approach of "I think this dude is scum, let me vote him and convince all of the rest of you why we should kill him." Shapelog's approach at least from my perspective has been more in the camp of "let me see what sticks by meekly calling a bunch of different people suspicious and then go with the flow".

5. Shapelog has been completely nonconfrontational, meek, and unsure/wishy washy. It seems that players that pressure even slightly will cause Shapelog to give way. Examples:

I think I could keep going but I think I've said enough to show my point (and I want to see if other people see other things that I did not explicitly mention).
If anybody sees anything that causes them to think Shapelog is town, please point it out. There are a couple things that lead me to be a bit unsure but I'd be curious if anyone else notices them. Also if anyone thinks there is a better lynch, please provide one. I'll be around for a couple hours before the lynch is over and I will be able to catch up on the thread and vote but I won't be able to push anything beyond what I'm doing now.

I'm awful at this game so maybe I'm just crazy, but the way I view it is that they both look much scummier for +1ing my post without really contributing anything of value or putting themselves on the line in any way.
From a scum perspective, they would know that the target I'm pushing is a townie. Let's say they're both scum, then it makes sense for them to say "yeah this is a good post" because they'd probably be fairly confident that it would have a good chance of leading to a wagon. When that wagon flips town they wouldn't be blamed for it, rather I would take the heat.
This fits particularly well with Rels=mafia because Rels was pushing tomahawk the whole time. From a Rels=mafia perspective I don't think he would have found it likely that tomahawk would have actually flipped, because people were unlikely to kill a newbie. However he couldn't have anticipated Shapelog being doctor and then claiming close to the deadline, which caused the wagon to rapidly flip to tomahawk. For me this exposed a lot about Rels because it became readily obvious that he wasn't trying to figure out the game. What are Rels's reads beyond "I think the newbie is scum because only newbie scum do this thing that tomahawk did"? From skimming his town games it at least seems like he tries to figure out the game. I don't see that here.
