The setup is a slightly more mafia friendly version of 2of4 since we replaced the sane cop with a parity cop. It's also the weaker version of the parity cop where you don't get a result unless you survive until day three. For that to happen they need to avoid d1 lynch (1/9), d2 lynch (1/7), n1 shot (1/7 or 1/6), n1 rolecop (1/6 or 1/5), and n2 shot (1/4 or 1/3) which is around a 15% chance of success for a check that you still have to interpret with "same" or "different". If there is a jailer, then either the parity cop of parity cop target getting jailed each night lowers that chance. I agree partity cop/doc is the harshest for mafia. The single blue 9 player setups typically are mafia favored. I believe mafiascum moved their newbie games over to matrix 6 to address this, but I don't think the setup is unplayable, though maybe others disagree? Two players one slot is pretty town-favoured I'd say. I'd be tempted to remove the most town-favoured setups or include a roleblocker instead of / as well as rolecop. I know normally town needs a little extra help in these games, but at the moment it feels like mafia are being pretty shafted

Preliminary vote for a standard setup. I don't like the imbalance of some being partnered and others alone

I think the unspoken conclusion of what sandroba says is this: it's easier for mafia to look like town than for town to look like mafia. It makes sense to me that sandroba would think that with his feels based approach to the game. it's not unspoken, it just doesn't mean anything.
the huge advantage town has in this setup is having 2 players to evaluate.

missed that Koshi post first time round, just read it in Shape's post there. Could be a typical koshi-mafia excuse or just fucking around. But it makes me want to lynch him. My cockles are warming.

I'm not sure because his partner said the same thing. (team koshi)
As for any significant on timing I think its just what we were discussing in the thread and to some extent I think he is correct. How does that change it? Just means it got turned into a joke. I mean, it could easily be a joke, but you know what Koshi's like when he's scumming it up.

I think he's probably more likely mafia than not based on his entrance. I basically don't even care what he says from here out. I must admit, I like my science to be a little more rigorous <3

COME ON, ITS THE BEST THING IN THE THREAD AND YOU KNOW IT. Did you even read his last few games marv? Did you? I identified him as mafia in a game I vaguely watched recently, and it was based on the content, rather than "he doesn't look like any game he's played yet"
What's with the hard sell, babycakes?

I meant to go to bed an hour ago and now it's too late to go to bed and am bored. No one else is jumping out at me, so I thought I'd push the only lynch I feel comfortable with. So should I take you bolding my assessment of his mafia game to imply that you expect him to look like that as mafia? no, I'm just bolding it to point out the weakness in your own meta usage :>
