First, in the newbie game while his filter isn't great he has some real gems of insight here and there. Things that really show how he's thinking about the game. Second, in the newbie game he's reasonably opinionated. Like he makes points on people and interacts a bunch. Like almost all of his posts are to someone. I'm going to try and be specific about this but his posts are to the person in relation to the conversation they are having in the thread at that time. Like there's an intended back and forth. Where as this game it's far more of posting at people. Like he's interested in saying something but not in actually conversing or having that back and forth. Third, I remember one of the heuristics used in Boardwalk revolved around who made plans and why. In Boardwalk, there were numerous plans based around picking numbers and what should be drafted where, etc. But I specifically remember someone talking about how mafia were more likely to propose a plan and just let it die. As I recall, I think it ended up getting a mafia lynched; I think it was part of why Gonzaw suspected Artanis. Either way, what I find interesting about his Votecount thing is that he doesn't really push it. He both likes and understands my "people cleared to shoot" list. But unlike, Rayn or me that game there was no constant revision in order to generate a better plan. There wasn't really any pushing for finding the best plan. It's more of a "I'm doing something plan but I don't really care about it." Fourth, This post: On March 04 2015 04:00 Tubesock wrote: I didn't see a reason for him scumming you at first. It is why I'm not voting you just yet. Geript is doing stuff and interacting a lot. He grilled Epiphany (still even but more politely). He doesn't appear to be afraid to say anything and is pushing an agenda. There's some things he's done that seemed scummy (pushing for chaos with plan rejection and not pushing an alternative, pushing the ninja stuff) but that stuff is either outweighed by or explained by his other actions. It's definitely possible he's scum, but we can't shoot him today. No way. What I find interesting about this post is that finding reasons to call me mafia but doesn't push them. What's more important is he's both buddied me pretty hard at points and both before and after this calls me obvious town. Like that's really, really weird. | ||

In general, talking about shooting nonstop or making it sound like you want to without actually attempting to shoot is REALLY anti-town. Everyone was talking about how mafia would want to shoot 24h after start without a question and I was just sitting here thinking that mafia would just sit back and not do shit at all with people like robik, geript as well as batsnacks and co in the game... Geript is probably the most craving for attention and recognition out of all the people in here and EVEN IF we ignore that, that'd be all fine had he just not left it at that, but making other people shoot by heating up the discussion is mafia agenda if there ever was one. | ||

I'm really bummed out by Koshi getting himself mod-killed thereby obviating the mafia's need to shoot him (I was pretty sure he was town). At this point, my main point of interest is getting into the dispute between Mocsta and Breshke. I'm confident that one of the two of these guys is definitely scum and that this isn't TOWN-TOWN the general consensus seems to be Breshke. One reason I'm finding it difficult to trust Mocsta on this is that he launched a similarly flimsy attack on me on D1, which he then retracted or distanced himself from after he asked me for a few reads, which i gave, even though he wasn't satisfied with one of them (Koshi Town which was subsequently vindicated). I really didn't change my stance or do anything different subsequently, so I'm really puzzled as to why Mocsta's suddenly dropped off questioning me. I'd also note that this drop-off has coincided with an increasing number of people town-reading me, and I find this a little suspicious. @ Rayn: You were questioning Mocsta hard at one point, and now he's green on your filter, what's the reasoning for the change? Also, I'm null on Breshke, I don't think his behaviour on the spat between Geript and me was necessarily scummy in that his justification that he wanted to listen to me, even if he thought I sounded scummy makes some sense. | ||
