doens't help town because you can just give the right before the night ends (or during the day phase if there is no chance of getting shot) instead.
helps scum because it gives them information about your thoughts to better use their night actions.

To the bolded, if you give it during the night though, you can engage with other players and refine and develop your reads without the stress of having to do so under a deadline. Like, how you spend your time in this game is just as important as how you form your reads, and you're taking the first half and throwing it in the trash this game.

To the italicized, you said it yourself - this is a game of imperfect information. If you play the game without A) making yourself readable to the rest of players and B) sharing the information YOU have with the class then you ARE going to lose. You realize that in real ACTUAL NON-FORUM mafia there is literally NO talking at night. NONE. So you're throwing away one of the BIG advantages that playing in a forum setting here has, the ability to converse with and share ideas among fellow townies. Can mafia also engage in nocturnal manipulation? Of course! But then they have to show themselves in the thread and say things, which YOU WANT TO HAPPEN!

You're just justifying being lazy. I appreciate that you throw that in at the end, that you recognize and admit that fact. But if you don't want to get lynched, you should help us to read you.

Like I spent a half hour telling you that because I really honestly think that it's more important for you to become readable and change your outlook on the game (so we can win) than it is for me to give my own reads (because I've given them all game and not much has changed). That's why /I'M/ not in here giving my last-will and instructing town - because I'm a low-priority night-kill and because MY reads are already explicit in the thread. What if you die and don't give your reads and you have like NAILED the scumteam? That feels good in post-game sure, even if your team loses. But do you really want your team to lose just so you can say "Oh I nailed the scumteam on D1...I just didn't say it because NIGHT-TIME!!!"

My guess is that the scum team is sqrt/geript/GB and they were in panic-mode after D1 because of all the strong townies aligning against them, so they're trying something really really outlandish and unorthodox. That's my guess. I'll look again tonight after All-Stars. In the meantime, every townie votes GlowingBear or accepts that they'll never win this game.
