Okay, so what was your plan if you rolled Boxer? Because if you claim OV then there are two other OV's out there and NO one is confirmed because one of the anti-town claimed your role, and presumably the other one claims OV. Like....I'm not buying this as a "premeditated plan" at all.


And his claim was after FF's, so, harder to believe it was premeditated...

Well, his claim is that he was planning on claiming the opposite town role before the game started or whatever, so order of claims doesn't really matter in this situation.

I don't understand what makes him the Jester over mafia in this case. For one, if he's trying to get lynched, then why not stick with the claim and then just afk? Backing out of it seems more like someone who's afraid they might get lynched to me than someone who's actively trying to get lynched as a part of their wincon.

Like, I frankly my gut tells me that CR is actually town here. The move doesn't make sense from either perspective honestly - if he's mafia then he KNOWS, KNOWS FOR A FACT that a counterclaim is coming. It's not like, a chance or whatever, this is an open setup with all roles known. If CR is mafia then he knows for a fact that the REAL Boxer IS going to counterclaim him. It's much easier for me to believe that he's town and made a plan to confirm a townie than it is for me to believe that he's mafia and claimed a role he KNOWS is going to be counterclaimed BY MECHANICS only to back off it.

That leaves him as either townie or Jester, and as I said, I don't know that I believe he does that as Jester. It's possible, I'm just skeptical.

Especially since when he came in everything I was saying was just so obvious that I had to be mafia. Like, from the looks of things he's got the game all figured out and the claims shouldn't have done anything to change that unless I'm missing something. How does he go from having the game figured out in the first five minutes to being so confused that he has to drown his confusion and tell us all about how confused he is?

VE, can you explain this statement?

I wanted to see who claimed what. From my perspective, I'm going to come from the group that is most claimed (OV/VT) so it doesn't matter when I claim. Besides me, at least one and probably 2 others were going to claim OV, I didn't feel the need to claim immediately.

Like you have to understand that order of claims is NOT important here. Why? Because from the beginning of the game, the two anti-town ARE GOING to fake-claim. Like, it's not just a possibility, that's a FUNCTION of the setup. So we KNOW at least TWO people are going to fake-claim.

That's the thing I don't understand. You feel that order of claims is not important, but you also intentionally withheld your claim. That's a contradiction.

It's not - I didn't want to see the claims to get their order, I wanted to see under what circumstances people claimed and how people reacted to the claims, and finally how people reacted to MY claim. It has nothing to do with the order, and it's not a contradiction.
