Hi all, just wanted to introduce myself. It is my first Mafia game and I expected a lot more role playing and interactiveness but maybe I am just used to role playing communities as opposed to RTS communities (although I love both) or the game has not properly began. Nonetheless I think it will be a very entertaining experience. I am not a fan of using a point system to analyze behaviour and find this a bit suspicious. All the players who introduced themselves like "Lets ban all the wickedness seem a bit mafia too me since this would be a good distraction from their own role". I am just making these points without mentioning names since it is my first post here and I want to give everybody a fair chance before I call my shots". | ||

+ Show Spoiler + The Prince comes back from the local dark witchery forest after going on a hunt for evil and returns to his kingdom deep in the night. The moon shines brightly in all his glory but somehow the town seems silent... too silent. Suddenly he finds himself surrounded on the court of his wine yard by his fellow townsfolk who have blank stares in their eyes. As his view falls upon a dead body hanging from a big oak tree in the near distance and he recognizes this man as one of his former neigbours, he questions himself why he was not there before this poor man was lynched. Being a prince who seems too innocent, he knows he cannot survive much longer without providing an alibi, otherwise he might end up as the next victim of either the town or witch mob. Therfore he vvows to explain what his adjutants and himself have seen and heard before they mounted their horses. But for now he excuses himself to his bed room since a minor wound was inflicted upon him that needs immediate treatment. Off character I am thankful that I am still in the game and I will be more active after I wake up, before I go to work and when I come back tomorrow but Day 1 I spent mostly reading. Thx Jenny for showing an interest into roleplaying since if nobody would appreciate roleplaying I would have had an even slower start with this game I think. If you other players mind my roleplaying I can hide it in a spoiler so the length of my posts is not too long. If I would have been modkilled I would have searched another (Mafia) Game with more roleplaying but since I was given a second chance I want to live up to that chance and express my thoughts later in this day. | ||

You HAVE to vote. Everyone must vote before the end of the day. You need to figure out the 2 people you think are the wicked ones I think I understand the rules better now but I had a bit of analysis paralysis (luckily the filter button got mentioned). Don't expect many people liking your roleplay, because it's so out of the ordinary, it could make them feel as if you are not focusing on the game and could potentially get you mislynched. Initially I did not understand how this can be a game that has a Disney Theme and characters that get assigned to players but no roleplaying part is included in the rules. But then I saw that the characters are only existing because of hidden roles and powers. Anyway I am also off to bed now and hope I could clarify a bit why I was so inactive the first day. | ||

The fair maidens of the town are wondering what thy name is. Would you be so kind as to indulge us? Role Play Time Sometimes me thinks that there must be a fairy guiding me to new treasures. Being quite exhausted at the moment I am feeling quite fine my lady thanks to some anointing oil that some arrogant king I forgot his name, left after drinking more wine than he could handle in one of my many bedrooms. And not only that he also provided me with some of the finest tobacco I have indulged in, in a long time. I have many names but you might have known my name since I am quite sure you met me some time before at a very special place... Role playing off Actually I have a theory about who is Mafia and who is town and I will voice it in the afternoon since the person I was waiting for to say something about me did exactly that. Furthermore I can now see why he acted strange on different occasions. | ||

Am I correct that the jailed person who was jailed by the town team was shown on screen and the jailed person that was jailed by the mafia team was not shown on screen? | ||

As for, what is shown "on screen" as far as I understand it, the blocked / jailed person recieves a message. In abuses case, he choose to reveal his message to all of us. There is no further moderator-notification in this thread about blocks and jails, as far as i know. Not correct, since one person was mentioned as banished. meatpudding has been killed – Belle, the Beautiful Bookworm (Vanilla Town) has been banished! | ||

Barakos Brings up a very important point early on that I will elaborate later: Lynching a liar is something that is very situation-dependend... like "Did the person lie to protect a powerrole at night?" vs. "Did sb. fakeclaim a powerrole at daytime to get the real powerrole lynched?" Also he speaks out what many others have been probably thinking: To be honest I find it pretty suspicious to talk people into (soft-)roleclaims before the first End of Day... feels like putting a crosshair on their back for the first night and the last thing I would want to do is make scums job of powerrole-hunting any easier. He says about me that I am like an empty book which I find much less suspicious than trying to frame me as Mafia despite my posts from Day 1. Overall I see him as town since he brings up some very important points regarding being critical and analytical by also being critical about Jenny. Furthermore he did not want to target people for being inactive unless some other people. Superbia He seems to be the most likely Mafia at the moment to me because in my opinion he was the one who speculated wildly the most without giving real arguments (e.g. the soft claim, scum because of evil sounding usernames, framing me as Mafia twice despite my low post content... etc) He was the person that I was waiting for to frame me as Mafia, since he tried to scapegoat most of the other players and I would be the easiest target to do this with, since I had the lowest posted content. He did not disappoint me. Also, wasn't asking for a read on marine, but there might be a (slight) possibility that mafia was essentially solo day 1 Is there maybe a world where Marine is mafia, and his partner had to work alone so far? To this I can reply that I would probably not be in the game anymore if I accidently posted as Mafia what I did in day 1 (even if it is my first game). Furthermore as Mafia it would have been way easier for me to just jump on the bandwagon saying "BM is unacceptable if he is not killed by a mod we have to do it (I nearly did but while I was angry Jenny posted and confused me, since in the end I could not tell if he is town or not anymore)." The second option is what I think Superbia did right after MeatPudding was killed. He said “Easiest fucking deflect of my life. Donkey mafia, how does it feel to be remote controlled?” Which indicates to me that he is fake claiming jailkeeper to get the real jailkeeper lynched at the end of the day. I don’t think that he is the real Jailkeeper because giving away your role immediately like this is bad for you and the town. | ||

Gets accused by Superbia to soft claim a cop role and immediately sees this as “wicked” and scummy behaviour and voices his opinion of Superbia really clearly Kill the beast! Superbia Shortly after that he votes on Superbia. The next morning he directly tells Superbia again what he thinks of him: Finally, 9. I'm inclined to agree mainly with abuse here. You and I seem to be reading the opposite and it makes you look wicked to me. And last but not least he is saying that Superbia seems to be town for him but gives him the name superbias and follows up with the following parapgraph: You back out on your thesis a bit after being pulled up on some points. The thing is you keep trying to justify it by saying those points are not important. Instead you should be trying to highlight the points that are important, and you've failed to do that. Please update and justify your reads. To conclude imo MP argues that Superbia continually tries to find new scapegoats after he realizes that most of them can see his logical flaws. I think out of all his actions the interactions between him and Superbia were the most memorable before he died. He is also one of the few people who is critical of Jenny. I think that probably he was a cop about to check on Superbia but he got killed in the process. JennyHell One of the most analytical posters by far. Constantly reminded us of important rules and guidelines. Encourages people to be active and is herself. Says about herself that she would play the same as Mafia/town and has a few games of experience. Overall I have to say that I cannot really read her (are some of the guidelines she posts just some kind of scripted copy paste metagame that she uses in every game?) but nonetheless she is in my towncircle because how she supported me and other players (especially gobble…). I like that she doesn’t make it too easy for herself to be liked. One of the only things that makes me suspicious about her is that she asked for my name/role. | ||

bold: I actually didn't read that part right, when I first read the post... you were present at the end of day and did not vote on purpose? Because this is how this sounds. As I explained multiple times I just had a hard time with all these contradicting theories of people and wild guesses that are not founded on arguments that I really didn*t know what to do or how to even comprehend what was written since I had a gut feeling what felt right to say but not why. After a while I saw the filter button mentioned and that helped me to slowly orient myself after the voting deadline was through. | ||

Well... let's turn this mess into something productive, since I don't think you are scum I will try to work with you. If your claim turns out true to be true - who do you think could be the second scum? Do you think there is a chance, that abuse and superbia made the whole fighting up and this all was some kind of play by the two? Or do you think that it is only superbia trying to frame abuse? Also in case of superbia turning out to be town at some point in the game - would you start to agree with his reads on abuse? What do you make out of Breshke, MihZaaa and lilwade? I get that those aren't people you have a good read on, since you said this in your post, but if you had to answer, what would you say is your general impression on them? Read your questions about 20 minutes ago and reevaluating my own notes since you bring up questions that I also asked myself. | ||

I can imagine it being one of the three lurkers Breshke, MihZaaa and lilwade since they stayed away from the thread for quite some time. I am really curious to see what their votes will be and what they think of the latest theory crafting. I think it is only Superbia trying to frame abuse since it started with Sb accusing Abuse because of his “evil” name and then he just kept attacking abuse with small sentences saying for example that he does not use reads to determine who is town, while abuse was mostly defending himself and questioning Sb about the sense of his rating system and the fact that nobody had given reads on all players at that point. I do not see how this conversation with partly not working quote system was planned in advance. Another possibility that I had in mind when I reread the beginning posts only, was that Superbia hastily calls scum on Jenny, so Jenny can introduce herself, negate the scum claim, provide her reads of the players she knows and later establish herself as Superbia`s partner. But after a while I recognized that it is highly unlikely Mafia would choose such a complex setup in a Newbie game giving reads on each other back and forth while posting big walls of text and Jenny providing on top of that a lot of good general guidelines. That is also one of the reasons I did not mention yet that she is town for me right now. Also in case of superbia turning out to be town at some point in the game - would you start to agree with his reads on abuse? No I would not, at least not the reads from their initial discussion since abuse seemed mostly trying to defend himself against all the statements thrown his way by Superbia, especially in the earlier part of their debate (that I agree with some others were made a bit hastly). What do you make out of Breshke, MihZaaa and lilwade? I get that those aren't people you have a good read on, since you said this in your post, but if you had to answer, what would you say is your general impression on them? Breshke seems innocent to me since he agrees with some of the cases that are mentioned by really analytical players like Jenny (e.g. the Dook BM case) and does not do too much to defend himself when he is attacked (I Am Town). Although he tried to solve the Dook case by asking questions and was not a complete sheep in this situation because of this. He does not seem like a really aggressive player. If he would be Mafia at all, maybe he would be acting more as a support character with a special power so that he can block people without being noted. At the moment I read him as town since it is his first game too. I might be completely wrong though and mistake his meta game for inexperience. I think I underestimate the value of good coaches (if there are players who rely on their help) that could give valuable insight and make Mafia players appear more innocent then they are. I still have to analyze the posted content of MihZaaa and lilwade but will post my findings shortly. | ||

Are you really sure about your feeling on supberbia? Because I am not. If I am absolutely sure if SuperBeer is Mafia is sth I will think about during my dreams and also reveal tomorrow since there is no need for me to hastily vote now. | ||

Or Meatpudding being possibly rolehunted since he was the most vocal opponent of Superbia (although he didnt turn out to be a cop). I am hoping to see more activity from Mihzaaa and lilwade too since they are harder to read for me than Breshke but I cant really say that they are my prime target for today since I am not gonna blindly vote (yet) on someone who I cant really read. Anyway I gotta head out to work and will be back a few hours before the voting deadline. ##Vote: Superbia for now unless something else important comes up. One more question though: Jenny why did you ask me in character what my name is? What info did you want to get? | ||

One thing is still unanswered by most of the other players. Why did MeatPudding die, if not for being vocal about Superbia? So far I did not read any other motive if I am not mistaken. I highly doubt it is because Superbia did softclaim him cop on Day 1. Sure it could be that he was killed for no particular reason but that would be very risky to do that by Mafia. | ||

"I still feel, in this moment it was the right call." Me too since not voting gives one an unfair advantage. + Show Spoiler + that I was actually ashamed at the beginning of the game since I believed I was too naive at the beginning of the game to even play it and accidentally gain an advantage, but after D1 I read some guides and got more confident But not voting and not posting gives an even greater advantage since players can hardly read you when you dont post much. What I noticed is that if two people should have died in Night 1 (assuming a Mafia roleblocker can also kill someone) that means Jenny should have died in Night 1, but she did not thus she is confirmed town (I highly doubt she is lying about being jailed, her outing seemed too genuine and sophisticated) and we have one more townie whose information should be trusted (I dont include myself, think for yourself + Show Spoiler + reverse psychology Last night I did some game analysis and tried to see the game from the perspective of a jailkeeper and Mafia. I came to the conclusion that the Jailkeeper and Mafia (obviously) have more information then the rest of the players and the Jailkeeper must have seen the obvious fake claim by Superbia. Especially after this move was mentioned by Barakos as a valid tactic while the other players still had to come to the conclusion that there are even Jailkeepers (since most of the players are really new and dont immediately see that unlike Superbia). That is maybe while Jenny and Superbia said that roles should not out. Later though Superbia suggests: If we're MyLo tomorrow, roles should out, agreed? At the very least bulletproof. contradicting his statement that roles are not allowed to out.He knows that it is forbidden to out roles (you can ask fo one fake claim via PM as powerrole), but still requests to change the rules of the game, so he can have an easier time by disqualifying enemies who fell for this request? Why else would he want that roles out, or do you just see it as another newbie mistake to make such a request? Also what caught my attention is that when Superbia is the only one trolling and taunting (he only uses swear words when he wants to provoke Mafia or other players) why does he expect others to mirror him and join in, if it is obviously not their playstyle? To me ist also makes sense that lilwade wants to get an advantage by not voting/not posting much so other people have a hard time reading him, but lets hear what lilwayne has to say about it. @Superbia I do not expect you to defend yourself against my statement that you fake claimed (since I could be wrong and you already defended yourself against it) but feel free to comment on my questions about your request to out roles since I have my theory but want to be proved wrong. | ||

Then on D2 you come into the thread and post "Marry - Daydreamarine after his day 2 activity I think it is undeniable this guy is top town." Daydreamarine jumps from being absolutely unreadable to top town for his activitys? For which of them? Especially this question  . | ||
