Days had gone by but without avail. As much as they tried, the citizens of Ba Sing Se could not figure out what had happened to the dear marvellosity. Was he abducted? Or perhaps was he trying to avoid someone? Did he just leave? The initial tremors of this disturbance had subsided as no leads were found.

Until tonight.

Tied up in front of the tea shop was the crumpled up body of Mages. Word had spread, and citizens came out to see the sight. He was a newcomer to the city, but seemed quite normal at first impression, slightly foreign if anything, but nothing malicious. The authorities were promptly on scene and investigated the body. After a thorough search of his possessions, a small metallic token was found, a sentimental piece of sorts. And although there were no names or inscriptions upon the trinket, the all too familiar tell tale emblem embossed upon it was enough.

It was the distinctive three pronged flame of the Fire Nation.

A murmur quickly spread through the masses as their worst fears were confirmed. Not even Ba Sing Se was guaranteed protection from the Fire Nation's clutches. Now with a common purpose, and a common goal, the citizens were reunited. Their powerful benders were out doing war outside the gates, and it was up to them to defend their homeland from within.

A loud shout drew all their attention. The captain of the guard declared to the crowd.

"We believe that this person was a Fire Nation spy! For your safety we will be enforcing a night curfew until we can get this sorted out. Any civilian found outside his private residence after curfew will be detained and potentially imprisoned for the safety of this Great City. Please return to your homes immediately!"

Silence alone rang out that night.

After years of failing to crack the great city of Ba Sing Se from the outside, the Fire Nation has decided to use intrigue to attempt to bring it down from within. You must work to bring take down the citizens and anyone who would be in your way.

This is a silent night. That means no posting, no popcorns, no chatter until the Day Post comes up. I don't care if it's 2 minutes late or 2 hours late. I want silence. I'm warning TheKingOfCats for posting after deadline. The next one will be a modkill. Please don't test me.

Day 2

The Ba Sing Se Zoo

onevone was a long time grocer of the Eastern Quarter. He had established his small shop as the local hub of news, gossip and the latest ongoings of the different City districts. Day after day his shop would open without fail, his mouse canaries signaling the dawn with their distinctive blend speaks and chirps. Many citizens had failed to fall asleep in the night, plagued with worries and anxieties after seeing with their own eyes definitive evidence of the Fire Nation, and solaced themselves by waiting upon those sounds, offering the comfort of the routine among this disturbance.

Well they wouldn't find it that morning.

Nor would they be able to take their minds off this whole ordeal by visiting the Ba Sing Se zoo, as it was closed for unforseen repairs.

"It was supposed to be fixed by that blind earthbender girl Damdred but she hasn't showed up all morning! The pens are broken and most of the benders are off fighting the war, I can't do anything about it!" the zoo keep bemoaned, trying to placate the masses.

This would not do at all.

The citizens convened once again with double resolve. There was a mole rat, and it needed to be crushed.

Damdred, as Toph Beifong (1 shot cop), was summoned to the Palace Quarters!
