Now that I'm back:
1) I probably could've fought this LYLO if I had the time and energy past the first 12 hours <_<; Instead I really just didn't have the energy to put into defending myself and pushing Poofter the critical 24 hour or so period mid-day. ; 2) The cop claim fucked over my plan like hardcore lololo
3) I was completely honest when I said I wasn't sure I was still considering /in-ing and had no time. If I had more time, I would've played a much more active mafia than I did.
4) I dont know what I'm doing as mafia lel, how2shoot and roleblock
5) The bussing of DC was almost entirely unplanned, and I was panicking at the time because of 3) and no prior experience as mafia.
As for who I checked:
1) meatpudding (because I wanted to make sure) 2) Poofter 3) seeya (despite already knowing your alignment)
As for NKs:
1) Uhh, just randomly shot Jenny because everyone was listing her as "top town" and Poofter was making it so painfully obvious I should shoot her just because. 2) Teemu seemed to becoming painfully unlynchable and I wanted to bring Pooft into LYLO. I didn't actually notice him being . 3) Lilwade was cop and I couldn't risk it.
Thoughts for myself: 1) lrn2spot blues (It's something I'm terrible at even as town, as sqrtneg will attest to) 2) lrn2NK (I apparently inadvertently gave away everything with my Teemu kill lol) 3) lrn2rolecheck (because rolechecking meat was a waste)
Basically lrn2mafia. I spent the entire time thinking to myself what I would do normally as town so...

GB TOP 3 BUT LYNCH HIM ANYWAYS LOLOLOLOLOL I hate poof.
There was plenty of things I could've hammered him on and realistically, could've made a good effort at getting him lynched, I just ran out of time and energy for this game. :<

This was also why I figured I should've tried to keep you alive as opposed to seeya D3, incidentally. You've been making hints that you would be critical of Poofter unlike seeya.

Completely. You had me pocketed. You would have played very very well. But thankfully I decided to push lilwade instead.
I could've brought a lot of reasons why poof could be mafia and I think that, by he end of day3, I could've convinced Seeyalater to lynch him. I'm glad I've pushed the cop LOL.
And if you had voted lilwade with me night kill would be clueless to town. Mostly, your night kill indicated it should be you or poof.

I don't think you couold have convinced me it was poof tbh. Not in final 3 at least, earlier yes.

So, I wanted to write up a few more thoughts on this game now that it has wrapped up, and I have a little downtime in travel so here goes! Please keep in mind that I’m a relatively new player myself. My comments are not necessarily correct, it’s just a few things that stood out to me when I was reading the game
Day 1 Day 1 starts like most mafia games, with some silly banter and weird internet pictures. You guys are already playing like pros!
I think it is important to try to understand why town was able to lynch DCLXVI (mafia) on Day 1. At this point no one was confirmed or semi-confirmed town, and actually many players raised suspicions on non-mafia players.
+ Show Spoiler +Perspective on D1 – Summary Although DCLXVI was lynched, there were plenty of suspicions thrown around among town to town. These varied over the course of the day, but here’s a few examples – + Show Spoiler +(there are a lot more, particularly on meatpudding toward the end of the day, but I just wanted to make the point that plenty of town were suspecting town) Mafia didn’t ignore these cases. For instance, Tolkien noted suspicions on lilwaded in a nice post here which continued to get him townread. And DCLXVI started to push on Teemursu after poofter and some others had been suspicious of him. But I think as the thread developed and continued to suspect players, the mafia sort of fell behind. There was pressure and suspicion on Teemu that might have been able to become a lynch. But, Teemu continued to post pretty regularly, and I think there’s no doubt that his activity was a factor that took him off the table ( example 1, example 2, example 3).
The way I see it, town had a number of suspicions they looked at as the day started, but the activity of those players made town uncomfortable with lynching them. Town considered and moved past voting for Teemursu, and votes developed into meatpudding vs. DCLXVI. In the end, I think the main reason DCLXVI was lynched instead of meatpudding was because meatpudding returned to the thread and was active (returned around here[/url). I really think DCLXVI’s absence from the thread once he got a lot of attention made town increasingly comfortable in voting for him. (example 1, example 2).
I guess I didn’t see meatpudding’s defense of DCLXVI as alignment indicative, but I did like reading it a lot (even if it was wrong). Although meatpudding incorrectly read DCLXVI as town, I think the defense under pressure should be commended… few townies seem to remember to defend their town reads. The defense on its own didn’t do too much, but I do think meatpudding helped make players more actively to explain why they were voting DCLXVI. I guess what I’m getting at is, if DCLXVI had flipped town, I think town would have had a lot more information to work with thanks to meatpudding. This was also somewhat important to help give weight to votes on the wagons (more on this below).
Votes from Day 1 I think vote analysis is really tough to do and I'm not that good at it myself. I have been trying to make myself do it to learn how, I suppose. Anyway, these were my thoughts following the D1 vote which I wrote up in QTs a bit after my players died T_T
I think the D1 votes give a good indication that tehPoofter and lilwade were town- Look at Lilwade’s post here- http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/mafia/462654-newbie-mini-mafia-lvii?page=22#424
Lilwade seems to commit to a vote on DCLXVI despite thread sentiment which would let him vote for other players. At the time, there were suspicions on a lot of other players who might have been easier lynches. It just seems off to vote for a mafia teammate seriously here and stick to it to the end. tehPoofter was pretty similar re: DCLXVI, I probably don't need to say too much but I can if you'd like!
Compare these two players’ votes with some of the later joiners on the DCLXVI wagon-
- Glowingbear votes for DCLXVI after showing serious doubts on other players. In particular, I felt this post http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/mafia/462654-newbie-mini-mafia-lvii?page=35#686 was sort of a weird move from one to the other - I really felt like he would have preferred to vote meatpudding, right up until he didn't.
- Tolkien's vote on DCLXVI (http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/mafia/462654-newbie-mini-mafia-lvii?page=27#540) also threw some red flags because it comes very late and seems noncommittal. Really, his prior vote on meatpudding wasn't very well grounded either (http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/mafia/462654-newbie-mini-mafia-lvii?page=27#522).
Neither of these made poofter or lilwade confirmed town (or confirmed glowingbear/Tolkien as scum) but the early, more committed votes on a mafia member seemed less likely to be bussing to me.
Day 2 Forward Day 2 and on I have less to say - Jenny certainly seemed like a decent mafia kill given that she had been active in helpful ways. I can't really blame town for mislynching meatpudding, though I think meat's play had been improving the D1 interactions were understandably suspicious. Lilwade outing as cop with a check on seeyalater was a big blow to mafia because it confirmed someone prone to being lynched. I think lilwade checking seeyalater instead of meatpudding was pretty apt.
The LYLO probably deserves more discussion but I'm not sure what to say about it. Both Tolkien and TehPoofter were townread most of the game, and I could easily see LYLO going either way.
All in all I thought the game was pretty good. People behaved well. The newer players all showed skill. No modkills or inactive players. The game went into 3 player LYLO and really could have gone either way . No big snafus that I can think of
Well done and well played by both teams :D
If anyone else has comments I hope you jump in :3
