he explained monumentally clearly why Vayne was mafia and oats couldn't follow basic logic. oats threw the game, not rayn.

In my opinion town mvp was rayn (even if he got sidetracked by Oats in lylo), unfortunately for town not enough to pull through.
On the Scum side Grackaroni was the standout player to me.
I will do a more lengthy post on setup, balance and the game in general later, probably tomorrow

Rayn is almost certainly town MVP. He had good reads all game. The fact that he failed to push his reads is unfortunate, but at least he had good reads! Many games I fail to even have good reads.

I genuinely thought Oats had to be mafia because he was actively trolling rayn this cycle when rayn had explained in detail, and pretty patiently, why Vayne had to be mafia.
If a townie decides not to listen then, there's not a lot you can do.

But when it comes down to it, no matter how effective your arguments appear to be, whether or not they actually convince people is the only measure of whether your argument was effective.
It's also still possible that oats is just an obstinant turd and hey at LYLO that happens

You know, I think I've believed this for a long time.
But I don't think I actually do anymore.
I've seen town after town recently (including ones with me in it) simply refuse to see the right answer. At some point the onus is on the people making the wrong decisions, not the one pushing the correct decisions.
rayn's arguments were effective and irrefutable. But he ran into insurmountable resistance from a townie.

I seriously thought Oats and Vayne were scum.
First they both trolled, thinking they were both caught.
But then they made a plan: Oats acts retarded and gets lynched. Vayne starts acting more natural, and convinces people he and Oats can't be scumbuddies (by directly discussing shit with Oats, etc).
Then Oats gets lynched, Vayn kills rayn at night, and next day he uses Pandani as puppet to lynch Grack (considering he "can't be scum with Oats" based on the previous plan).
.....this game my "theories" were too good to be true >_>

Sometimes you just cannot win at lylo, since it is not necessarily your fault for not convincing others but other peoples for not listening. I went through the same thing in one of my games. Be glad that you played a solid town game all around and were the only one to actually catch the scumteam!
