Twelve, in a boat meant to hold sixty-five. Vivax looked on with contempt. If the boat had waited for more, maybe they could get a boat without pushing anyone off. Just some unpleasant people to endure while we all wait for rescue. There would be more. Meanwhile, the eyes of suspicion were gathering around Paperscraps. “Maybe ‘e’s one,” came a voice. “Maybe we should just push ‘im off for th’ ‘ell of it.” “Do that, and you’re no better than them ruffians!” came another voice. But the sentiments of the first speaker were more prevalent in this crowd. Two men began shoving Paperscraps around, leading him closer and closer to the edge of the boat deck. “Gentlemen, restrain yourselves!” cried the second voice, to no avail. A third joined in, with a nervous Paperscraps taking step after step to gain distance. But soon there would be no steps left to take. Those behind him made way so they would not be pushed. Vivax, still looking in contempt at the lifeboat, dodged a funny-looking man who looked ready to liberate some space on his destined lifeboat. Then Paperscraps looked up. His eyes were followed by Malongo, and the funny-looking man, until even the attackers were starting at the white flares that jrkirby began shooting from his gun. They echoed in silence, briefly illuminating the nearby ice floes and the mirrored surface of the still ocean. And then they faded, winking out and joining the stars above. But there were more, with the Chief Officer diligently firing flare after flare, hoping that help would come. It had to. Paperscraps breathed. Slowly, he would edge into the crowd, into a less precarious space, while everyone was still looking at the pretty lights. The flares had saved him. Shuffling through, he came too close, with one of his previous attackers feeling the panicked breath of Paperscraps on the back of his neck. Disenchanted with the chief officer’s distress signals, the large man elbowed the man standing behind him. Paperscraps, caught full force by the impact, never had a chance. He flipped over the low railing of the boat deck and fell into the dark ocean below. Nobody heard the splash. Paperscraps the Third Class Passenger has been pushed off the boat! As the flares subsided, people erupted into a hubbub and with many shouts of “good sir”, began to have fistfights with each other. Vivax the Third Class Passenger has been pushed off the boat! It is now Day 2. With 12 alive it takes 7 to lynch. | ||

I’ll bash ye fookin ‘ead in, I swear on me mum!” “YOU WOT MATE?!” screamed Stutters, and picked up a deck chair, bringing it down on an unsuspecting Clarity_nl. His original harasser, Oatsmaster, started laughing himself, until what was left of the deck chair found its way on top of his head as well. Oatsmaster rewarded his attacker with a swift kick in the bollocks. “Will you idiots be quiet for just one minute?” demanded raynpelikoneet. “Some of us back here are trying to listen to the orchestra, and we can’t hear anything over you baboons breaking the furniture!” “Oi,” interjected Oatsmaster, “you bein’ a cheeky li’l cunt like your mate over there? You want a kick in the bollocks too, don’tcha?” Stutters, newly recovered, repositioned the deck chair in an attempt to skewer rayn, whose manners were giving him a headache. However, being kicked in the bollocks does produce some unpleasant side effects, such as not being able to aim properly. And so, the cracked deck chair instead connected Malongo. Being hit in the gut with the shards of a wooden beam was not a pleasant experience. Malongo learned this the hard way. But with these devils for company, what else could happen? With a bloodcurdling scream, Malongo grabbed, with both hands, on the shard prodding him against the painted railing. He summoned all his remaining adrenaline to save his life, and snapped the wooden beam. With newfound space in front of him, Malongo kicked up the imbalanced deck chair, and attacked with the shard still in his hands. One swipe across Stutters’s face. Another swipe. And a third. Another primal scream, meant to scare the very soul out of the man who had dared to attack him. And now he would die. Raising the beam-fragment over Stutters’s face, Malongo brought the piece down. But it never connected with his victim’s body. Soon rayn, and exarezee, and the funny-looking man, grabbed him and pulled. Three more desperate prods, trying to seize that man’s life before all was lost. Another desperate, final, wailing scream. But it was too late. All eleven, even wounded Stutters, worked in perfect unison to throw Malongo overboard. He was dead already. This would just be a formality. Malongo the Strawberry Ruffian has been pushed off the boat! It is now Night 2. Send all night actions to all three hosts. Night ends in . | ||

It sounded rather like he was arguing with himself. His bottle of whiskey was empty." "So no orders then?" "No." "Well... I suppose now we keep calm, carry on and do our jobs." Aquanim and jrkirby returned to their respective duties. Behind the chief officer and architect, a man threw a heavy, limp object overboard, then disappeared into the shadows.
