How do you feel about iamp saying earlier that as scum he doesn't like to be in the spotlight...then proceeding to stay out of the spotlight for most of the game? | ||

Iamp has definitely stayed out of the spotlight. At least compared to his normal town persona. Town iamp is very...outspoken. Like I said, he's done that a few times (particularly him calling out marv early, etc), but its still in much, much, much less frequent than how he normally plays as town. He's been pretty content to just make an occasional, useless comment. Almost all of the actual content is from Hapa. | ||

If I have reason to believe that someone is town, but someone else makes a case about said person, then judging the case is a good way to decide if either I'm wrong about my read, or if the person could be trying to push an unauthentic case. FWIW, I feel like some of the points in Golems case are really....reaching. "Soft defending" himself? The quote in question was that he, Hapa, had no reason to look into the rest of the population. He never said "Hey don't look into me because I'm not one of those 3 people", nor did he imply it. Of course he isn't going to look into himself. That's not soft-defending yourself, that's just common sense. And...basically all the rest of it a connection case between *TWO* unflipped players. The only point he made that actually makes ObsQT scum on his own is the one about "soft defending himself" (which is bullshit anyways). Everything else he wrote 100% falls apart if Dirk isn't scum. Do explain why they are your #1 town read though, plx. | ||

1) what you're describing isn't my lazy scumplay, it's an outright slip. Even in my 'lazy' scumgames I don't outright slip. I'm too good, too meticulous. You know this. 2) Given the flip, and the play apart from it, it seems pretty likely to me that Dirk is mafia, so looking at who helped moved the lynch from Dirk to Witty makes sense. ~marv | ||
