I think you're misunderstanding TC: he is saying that he could have left it unknown that scum had already burned through the shield. Now scum know they don't have to worry about it.

If I could put 2 and 2 together I'm sure scum could as well, so I would've preferred it if he confirmed it for us.

He puts a seed on someone, it either blows up immediately because the person the seed is on gets targetted, or it takes a full cycle to turn into a shield.

This isn't a stock game, we don't HAVE to kill all scum. It would be nice ofc but it's not our wincon. We shouldn't work by process of elimination. You can't just got "the scum are in this list of 11 people so just kill all of them", we need townies to kill lavos, even if they're absent most of the time. VE said he would try to be active, today is not a lynchday, how about we give him a chance before we shoot him? Plenty of targets much better than him.
