Erandorr, Scum's Highly Volatile Mason Erandorr's entrance into the game has been gone over and over, but I want to stress this. There is no town-motivated reason for masoning Bugs after Bugs immediately outed me as mason if he felt that masons should not claim or be kept secret This is huge, and it's being overlooked by the vast majority of the players in this game. His primary contention with Bugs was the fact that he outted us as masons. This means that he felt that our roles were sacred - that the information we had (knowledge of our roles) was worth keeping a secret from scum. But instead of calling Bugs out on this behavior when it was exhibited (read: when he outed me as mason), he masoned Bugs instead. Why? To what end? He claims that his intention was "to see if he'd do it again". ….why? What's the point of that? He's done it once, isn't that enough? He claims that if he hadn't, then he would have simply asked why he did it. But…that doesn't make any sense either does it? Because if he was going to ask that when he outed ONLY me as mason, why would the same question not be valid after outing both of us as masons? And in what way does Bugs' move to out ONE of us as mason and not the other make ANY MORE SENSE than outing both of us as masons? It doesn't. It's all a bunch of bullshit. Next, go through and try and find some of Erand's reads. Go on, I can wait. ... ... ... That's right - he mentions NO ONE. NOT ONE SOUL other than WBG until his second to last post. Why? OH THAT'S BECAUSE I'VE NOW SHONE THE LIGHT ON HIM. He'll attest that he's had a spotlight on him all this time, but that's not TECHNICALLY true is it? The spotlight has been on wherebugsgo, NOT Erandorr. Know how I know? Because not one person has brought up the fact that Erandorr has done fuck-all but tunnel Bugs besides Bugs all fucking game. I can't spell it out ANY clearer for you guys. If you want to lynch me, that's fine. I'll take the loss. Because I FUCKING KNOW that when I flip town, you'll immediately about face and then vote for Bugs, NOT Erandorr. And town will lose. If you want to win however, then unvote me and vote for Erandorr. We remove a scum mason from the game, we don't lynch me (  ) and I get to lobby for Bugs' and my life for another day.A vote for Erandorr is a vote for Town Victory!! | ||

He calls him scum in all the games they are in together, regardless of evidence. It doesn't surprise me therefore that in this game, where he has a blue-ish role, that it was targeted at bugs. If he was a vig, he'd have shot him. If he was a DT, he would have checked him. If he was mason...etc etc. This would all be done regardless of information in the thread that ran counter to his read on bugs. Except the point is not that he targeted Bugs alone - it's that he targeted Bugs knowing he would out him as mason. He can say he didn't know Bugs would do that all he wants, but he claims the reason he did it was to see if he'd do it again, implying that he saw him do it once before. I can't imagine that he would think Bugs would out me as mason and not him - he had to know what Bugs was going to do. @Bugs If Erand flips town, I'll literally eat my hat. ( ) | ||

VisceraEyes Thoughts, And Lack Thereof I'm gonna open with the important stuff. talismania, Zephirdd, Toadesstern Yes, that's right - THREE names. Not Five. Why? Because in my opinion, the last 2 scums can be found in the pool of players who haven't been posting, like, at all. There have been too many town flips of active players for me to entertain the notion that ALL of the scum are playing visibly. Therefor, at least 40% of the scum team can, by my estimation, be found in that group. Now, my reads. talismania has been very confusing to me over the course of the game. After D1 I agreed with slOosh's points on talismania - lots of questions that seemed to go nowhere, very little what I would consider actual scum hunting. However, D2 talis turned on the town with a bright and shiny case on me. Generally speaking, I automatically think "SCUM!" in cases like that, as many of you are well aware - however this time it was different. This time, talismania had valid concerns about my activity and my case against him…and considering my main contention with him was about the whole questions that go nowhere thing, I decided to assent to masoning him. That's where things changed, for me. Over the course of those conversations, I was left with the feeling that he wasn't REALLY after information at all - that he was looking for something specific…something that I'd referenced earlier in the game. All Talismania was interested in during the WHOLE of our conversations was my read on Zephirdd. Why? What about Zephirdd was so important for me to comment on? What about my Zephirdd read intrigued him so? If he thinks I'm scum and Zeph is town, what could he possibly want to know what I think of Zephirdd for? Here's my theory: that he and Zephirdd are scum TOGETHER. Like, as a townie, how would you react to someone continually calling you scum based on nothing and trolling you? If your answer is anything but "ignore it and hunt scum" then you're scum. And golly gee, he didn't vote for me, talismania's "#1 scum read". Hmmmm, I wonder what's going on here. :/ Toadesstern is on this list because he's a mason, and because I'm town the pool of possible scum masons is shrinking. Ultimately he's null, but I'm thinking scum probably have a mason and I don't think it's JH - especially after reading his logs with talismania. It's possible there ARE no scum masons and BC threw in a ton of town masons to fuck with town - but I find it really unlikely, and if that's what's going on here then BC is truly a bastard. So my lynch-order preference would be: 1. talismania/Zephirdd (I'm equally sure on both and would support either lynch equally. . . . . . . . . . . . 2. Toadesstern. I don't want to lynch Toad tomorrow, but I will if town wants to because he's a mason that's not JH or myself. Pretty much no other reason. :/ | ||

I mean, there are inherent risks involved with claiming as DT...claiming through a mason doesn't really mitigate those at all, because surreptitious behavior is often regarded as scummy rather than townie regardless of the intentions - look at the Lynch All Liars policy if you have any doubts. While I would love nothing more than to lynch talismania, this smells funny. No offense Toad, it's more to do with the manner of the pseudo-claimed DT rather than any of your actions. The fact that you claimed it for him/her is pretty null to me, considering I think you're smart enough to know that claiming that in-thread would be the smart move regardless of your alignment. | ||
