Some thoughts: Zealos I actually would not suspect him to be scum just because he claims VT. In my last (and first) game everyone was pressured to claim directly which - surprisingly - lead to everyone claiming VT. Having only played that game where not claiming was deemed scummy I believe I could have done the same as Zealos. Although he has played several games already and should definitely be more experienced (and maybe know that claming on the start of day 1 is not a common strategy). What DOES make me suspicious of him is this: On May 30 2012 05:48 Zealos wrote: I am a townie, because of this, I am posting under the assumption that everyone knows I'm town. In this game no one knows for sure whether you are town until you flip green. So why should any of us assume otherwise? Toad Regarding his mason claim. I didn't understand why Forumite, VE, ET don't want Toad to tell us his target beforehand? If he declares his target just before the night post, it would be easier to confirm his role and more difficult for him to blame the failed confirmation on the dead player. Which leads me to believe that he truly is mason. If I remember correctly he was the first one to ask whether or not he should tell us his target before night finishes and no one brought this matter up before him. So if no one asks why should he even bother to mention this and possibly make his life as lyncher harder. Anyway, we will know more about him on day 2 but I do believe he is mason. I am going to go through Supersoft's filter now and post my thoughts on him later.

There is not much I can say to Supersoft that hasn't been already said. I agree that his sudden switch from being fine with lynching Sinsidas (or however his name might be spelled) to this is the worst mislynch of all times is suspicious. On a side note ... maybe you should create irony tags!

To be honest, I think both are at a same scummy level. Posting a big list with names and commenting on them seems like a nice way to fake a townvibe. They don't really address any follow up questions (especially Gambit with his two posts only). Wiggles quoted some people soft defending Gambit which could give us some information if we lynch Gambit. For a lack of a better lynch target I am willing to give a Gambit lynch a try. I tried to look into some other cases but didn't find anything really convincing yet. I am a bit suspicious of supersoft though: On May 30 2012 23:42 supersoft wrote: You claimed before any PMs went out that told people they were hit. Scumteam know who they hit. obviously they dont have to wait for claims to know who was hit. WTF dude. How could you know if PMs were out or not?

I didn't like his vote switching and we have no guarantee that VE is vig, won't be roleblocked again, .... I think most of the concerns were already mentioned. What was not mentioned in MZ's analysis On May 31 2012 02:06 VisceraEyes wrote: Because like you I need vet support to ly.ch a vet. Nothing strange about that. Actually I never understood that one. If you don't have support for a lynch, you get some by posting a strong case. It shouldn't be the other way round.

VE was asked why he didn't for push any cases. I believe this fits very well to the careful playstyle of not pushing for any lynches yourself.

I go through this in every game. What matters is what I choose to do with it with the lynch. Today I want to lynch either Kita or Zealos...do you disagree with either of those choices? Then why does my vote-switching bother you? Getting vets to support your lynch is different from getting other players to agree with your lynch. With normal players you're correct, but vets have a preconceived notion of what scum are likely to do and how they're likely to act, so you have to kinda wait until vets notice the shit on their own. That's why I was so excited when MZ said he thought Kita looked suspicious and why I wanted to see if he was serious today - because with MZ's support I could feasibly get a lynch of Kita rolling. MZ reneged though and ended up targeting me. C'est la vie. Of course votes are a tool. But you should be confident enough of your vote to be able to stick with a and try to convince people to agree with you instead of switching off of them once someone else makes a case. I do believe you that vets have a preconceived notion about scum und their behaviour but that does not mean that you can't convince people for a lynch of your choice. Have a look at MZ's case. There was almost no support from vet players (besides kita if I remember correctly) and still he was able to make a good case and point out the flaws in your play.
