My invention tonight. Fml of course the other member of chezinu's house is the one who screws us all over. Why, wbg, WHY!? ------------------------------------------------------------ ------ Final version. This is to be delivered to Foolishness. The inventor has invented (and given you) “Bill Murray” Bill Murray will awake, and pretend to kill Jimbosilvers. He will also cover Jimbosilvers, Foolishness and Wherebugsgo with a brown goo that will cause all three to flip as members of the Chezinu Family. Bill Murray will wake up automatically, but has been fitted with an anti-murray serum, that will reverse the effects of Bill Murray. At any time, you may inject the anti-murray serum by PM’ing the mods “##Inject anti-Murray serum”. This will not affect the fake death of Jimbosilvers, but WILL remove the black goo, and reveal the true identity of the players. (i.e., any dt checks and flip results will be reversed to reveal what they otherwise would have flipped as.) Small print: Jimbosilvers is still subject to modkill for not voting, and once he posts in thread (or the voting thread), the fake death will be made public, and relevant lists updated. During this period, he may not talk to players or observers, other than the recipient of this invention -------------- Requests: I would like it if you would say “Bill Murray has been invented”, instead of “A Bill Murray has been invented” for the sake of awesome. I would like to be blown up in the description of my fake death. I’ve added the restriction of not being allowed to talk to players or obs to avoid obvious leak problems that might occur if people think I’m dead. ok, thats the coolest invention ever :D | ||

Relevant from dead people QT: Public IRC is just a horrible idea. If you're going to do PMs, you have to use them right. Using IRC just encourages people to go with the flow rather than play deliberately and strategically. The only reasons IRC should be used is to have a private group chat with people you trust, i.e. your mafia team, if you are working in a small town circle, etc. Having a public IRC is just the worst idea ever. Since its public, it might as well be the thread. You can't expect to put any meaningful pressure on anyone in a public IRC any more than you can in the thread. Sure, people have to respond quickly, but if they're logged in to IRC, that means they're prepared to do that. Alternatively they could feign afk, so even that isnt reliable. Since people type line by line instead of in chunks, it is so difficult to keep track of who is saying what, even if everyone is logged in using their true identities. Trying to have a coherent conversation in IRC is just insanity. Now compound that with unverifiable identities in IRC and now there is almost no excuse to justify using it. Unless you have a small group circle that needs to discuss things together, use PMs/IMs/private chats instead. As to impersonation being illegal, well it isn't, and I don't see any reason why it should be. IRC is a public space, you can't just assume its safe to spill your knowledge. Its the players' responsibility to make sure they're talking to who they think they are talking to. The only exception to this would be impersonating someone who isn't playing the game. That is illegal. After the game I will request bans for everyone who was breadcrumbing. Seriously it just happened last game and it wasn't ok. Mig was playing in that game too so there is no excuse. | ||

I think we would have felt a lot more comfortable able running if the elected roles were immune to checks. Really would have been nice to have a godfather, NRA. or framer. Even if it was pretty unlikely that I could have beaten out Mig or Radfield, I regret giving it a shot. Also, Tudors suck for shooting me night one. Did I do something to tip you guys off? They thought you were town for some reason -_-. I think I could have run a good campaign had I not been busy lol | ||

I can point out at least half of the scum players who did literally nothing to save their own asses. They were so scummy it would've been a miracle if they didn't die. Good examples of those players are: you, decon, meapak, node, supersoft, wiggles prpl got incredibly lucky on a DF claim, if he had gotten unlucky he would've died. If he hadn't been so lucky he'd be in that list. I didn't include sinani in that list cause he's always incredibly useless Kenpachi sold out another scum but he didn't do much of anything else either (working against time there) Cheese getting found out was almost entirely due to Jimbo's fake, but I'm not so sure he would've looked very good by n2 anyway finally we have sandro and kita, who both played pretty well. Kita I thought was town n1 and then I loled when scum accidentally shot him. Really unknown how he would've done since he died so early, but I would probably not have suspected him for a while if he kept that up. Sandro did well to fool Radfield/syllo but honestly toward endgame it was apparent he was scum. So when 10 out of 12 scum did almost nothing to appear town how is that a fault of the game's mechanics? You guys could've taken advantage of players like Erandor, Palmar, Jackal, myself, and Foolish, but you all chose to be complacent and you got raped from every side by the massive amounts of town KP and detection. EDIT: Also some of the scum role selections were really strange. Meapak choosing rockstar instead of NRA (if he's not going to go for inventor) really boggled the crap out of me. How on earth is RS better than NRA? He died day 2 anyway, so it certainly didn't do any good for him. | ||
