now that I've spent about three hours reading the thread only to refresh it and the end and find like ten pages to read, taking pages and pages of notes I can finally say: what the fuck are you guys doing It seems like every single mafia game I play (that goes past day two >:|) gets completely sidetracked by some dumb argument that degrades from an argument into just yelling the same shit at each other over and over. Whether it's better to elect someone from the item game or better to NOT elect someone from the item game or elect bum is important, but I swear nothing has happened in the last five pages because annul can't stop yelling about math and everyone else is just saying the same thing over and over. This is obviously NOT GOOD for town. Since I somehow only got called out twice despite never posting all day, I'll show where I stand: Electing bum would be great, having a townie circle with mayor at the head would be ideal. It's crazy that people are throwing so much weight behind bum or against him at this point considering it would be insane for anyone-- red, blue, or black-- to counterclaim bum before they get their roles. How I vote will depend entirely on what happens day 1, and there's no doubt it my mind that something significant will happen regarding bum's candidacy. | ||

Unless I'm way off about this: IF YOU VOTE IN THE THREAD, MAKE A NOTE OF THE VOTE HERE AS WELL EXPLAINING YOUR REASONING voting threads seem really dangerous to me, potentially letting people go completely under the radar while still influencing each day's lynch. We have to set a precedence that silently voting WITHOUT at least mentioning it in this thread is extremely suspicious. | ||

I thought this was some kind of throwaway joke reply at first but the he started backing it up. Originally I was going to post another selection of quotes from him that I was gonna say made me question his previously-green status in my mind, but then I read over them and realized I was an idiot and missed the point of the posts entirely. I'm hovering around 80% sure jackal's town, but that doesn't mean we sheep after him all the time. If anyone in the item game should be lynched I think it should be darm, lemon and tack need more investigation. | ||

Tack's contributions really only started once he got seriously accused, and even then they were only all about how why he wasn't scum. That's totally understandable given how much pressure he was under, but his only substantial posts being defending himself or trying to discredit his attacker? That's questionable. Lemon had been pretty quiet all game, and as some people pointed out he became SUPER quiet once tack looked like he was going to be lynched. Could be scum hiding and hoping that people just went with things... or maybe he just got busy. Basically what happened is I became convinced that jackal/coag are town and since they were both pushing tackster so hard (even with somewhat questionable methods) and since they have a circle to plan behind, that pushed me over onto tackster's side. I made the post with my vote and meant to vote along in the voting thread with it but that apparently didn't happen-- luckily (for me, not everyone else) I checked the voting thread like five minutes before the deadline when people started mentioning extra votes and saw that I hadn't voted, so I threw in the vote I had announced earlier. It kind of led to a shitstorm. Regarding MZ's analysis: I totally acknowledge that I've been inactive and not contributing at all. MZ keeps saying my posts are 'contributing without contributing' but I see them as 'not contributing without contributing'. I've done terribly this game and I know it-- the speed this game moves at is pretty overwhelming. | ||

For the former, I don't know about kav's plan-- it basically boils down to 'if scum has a roleblocker they get another night kill' which seems pretty likely to me. I agree that we're in a pretty bad position right now, but it's not so bad that we have to start making risky near-suicidal moves and just hope we get out of it. Also, perhaps the most important revelation that's come from the black market: LSB Banking is just a mod-controlled player of the game! Problem is, now that we know that blacks won't die to just one bomb, he's not going to be anywhere near as helpful in the future unless we can follow up with a dayvig or something or somehow coordinate his explosion at night with other night actions-- this might be the best chance we have to take advantage of his bombs. | ||

It wouldn't be one town + one mafia, it'd be one black + one ??? + one town (assuming the whole kav-didn't-die-to-one-bomb thing means he's black). If mafia knows/thinks the ??? is a town then they have no reason to roleblock ilj or hit him. If mafia knows the ??? is one of their own they're just going to RB ilj OR maybe protect their guy somehow (don't think they have the means to do this) and hit kav, hoping it double stacks. If blacks know/think the ??? is red then blacks'll probably hit ilj and protect kav with the vest thing they got from the black market. If ilj blows up at night then reds/blacks FOR SURE have a response that keeps them from getting hurt. Unless we kill ilj now, no scum are going to die to his bombs. We can't even reliably tell if he's going to have a hit or RB used on him. Depending on who the bombs are on, scum might not even care if he explodes or not. | ||
