I mean, for now it at least gets people posting because there isn't a ton of information to discuss, but the CPR role issue still needs to be resolved, and no one's stepped up to say that their role wasn't available so it looks like everyone with an important role either got it or didn't follow the plan at all. ...until we get some night actions in though, I don't really know what to do.

LoR's getting votes for claiming he tried to pick traitor, but I don't see what lynching him accomplishes. If he's telling the truth, then we lynch a green and mafia gets to decide what role copycat gets (assuming their lynches go first at night, I'm not 100% how that works tbh) which is potentially dangerous. If he's lying and he did pick traitor then great, now we have a traitor copycat. With CC being in the top 4 (assuming jackal's telling the truth of course) then I wouldn't be surprised if a townie just made a dumb decision and picked it to deny mafia the role for some reason. Actually, let me rephrase: I wouldn't be surprised if kenpachi (as a townie) made a dumb decision and picked CC second. ...but, even though ken's being questionable for the third game in a row, he's such a high pick that on the chance he played this one well and picked a powerful role lynching him would be a really risky move this early on, before we know more about him. Fishball's attracting votes because he's being loud and accusing people, but that's to be expected. GGQ has been quiet, but it looks like he was quiet in XXXV as well-- and he /in'd as a replacement, it's not like he jumped on this game right away. ...so I guess aidnai is the best vote for the time being? It's at least not very risky, I guess. I'll be the first to jump off this bandwagon if something better pops up in the next eight hours, though :/ ##vote aidnai

I question deconduo's unwillingness to hit kenpachi, but that may have been a judgment call. The only reason I would consider sparing kenpachi is if he used his day vig power and hit a mafia. You could be CC as well, of course :X And do we know if the kills were reported in the day post in the same order that they were sent in or not?

And, as was said at the time, your analysis was mostly ignored because it just looked like you were trying to save your own ass.

The funny thing is, though we have good odds of finding the traitor even if we just guess, once we concentrate on killing him mafia has no incentive to try and convert him anymore, so he'll just die and mafia gets a night or two pressure-free. But, if we don't kill him, mafia is going to want to convert him-- and they'll do so pretty quickly, since he's easy to find (plus) and to find him they basically just have to swing around in the top eight (plus) until they hit the right person. I dunno, this seems like a pretty shitty situation for town at the moment. As far as I can tell pretty much none of the blue roles we may or may not have have kicked in or done anything useful yet, and we're actually in a position to lose in the next day or two if we don't play this really well. Personally, I think going for the traitor is the best move here. He's not going to be too tough to find, and even if it takes more than just today to hunt him at least the blues can get some useful info tonight or tomorrow and that'll put us back on the right track. It's totally a judgment call, though-- I just don't see anyone who sticks out as scum atm.

Remember, majority lynch, so don't hammer, but he's not a townie and we have no reason to trust him. I hope it goes through soon, I might not be around in a bit. ##Vote Deconduo Decon, the role says you have to type Kill: Player. I'd post that exactly, just to be sure.

Jimbo's plan seems just fine to me, as well-- zeks and beneather have been flying under the radar, and fishball has been obnoxious and unhelpful, not to mention not voting yesterday when he was clearly active.

Obviously you weren't here last night, did not follow the thread, skimmed through most of it, saw Ace's post and made your comment. Hey, look what I found regarding my vote? + Show Spoiler + On January 15 2011 09:34 Fishball wrote: #vote Abstain for now. I'm willing to let Deconduo live for now, as he did do Town a favor, and he didn't lie about the Day Vig role. On January 15 2011 11:04 Fishball wrote: I hate to say this, but how hard headed are you? Look at the list. What other options do I have? I won't vote myself, I decided to not vote for deconduo. So ok, I try to go for the Traitor. What options do I have? Kenpachi kitaman27 Amber[Light] CubEdIn None of you are exactly voted for, and basically I would have to build an entire case against one of you, and hope that the remaining Town will somehow magically listen to me, and swap votes within 30 minutes. I already frowned upon the "last minute train" when aidnai pulled this. Basically you're telling me to eat my own words. More importantly, I don't know who is the Traitor, and I've said many times, I'm not focused on the Traitor. If I were forced to choose and go for a Traitor lynch, I would have picked CubEdIn due to all that incoherent fuss earlier, but like I said, none of you are viable candidates anymore given the time frame. So what's wrong with abstaining? The only reason why Ace missed my vote, was because he searched for ##, instead of #, a wrong format I used. Obviously. No, I was here last night at the last minute, hilariously scrambling around trying to get SOMEONE lynched so we didn't just waste a day. I didn't remember you voting and took ace's post to be accurate, yeah, and you certainly explained away your non-vote in another post when someone pointed it out, but it doesn't change the fact that missing a lynch is seriously bad for town, and you didn't even try to keep it from happening. On January 15 2011 19:55 Fishball wrote: I've been refraining from using any swear words, even calling people stupid in this game, but it's late at night and you're pushing it. Reread my post. I never argued about or denied how suspicious Beneather and zeks looked. I even said most of us knows, so what you're saying is just pointing out the obvious. My main point, was to question JimboSilvers's motives in general, the big picture itself. You "agreeing" with him, is a pointless reply to my message. I'm talking about apples, you're talking about oranges. ...this part of the post doesn't even have anything to do with you. Yeah, apparently we agree on this point. Why are you yelling at me again? On January 15 2011 19:55 Fishball wrote: So you just repeated what JimboSilvers said, just with different wording. No personal opinions, nothing. On January 11 2011 09:43 Eiii wrote: Fish if you're a master of switching personalities or whatever, could you try and make this one a bit more useful as the game goes on? No offense, but town has lost the last two games I've played because of inciteful, spammy posters that basically just distracted them and gave a bunch of false leads. ... Hey look! It's exactly the same opinion I'm expressing now, but a couple days from the past! Man that's crazy. And you haven't changed. I call you out on something anti-town you've done, so you yell at me. I throw my hat in with jimbo and agree with you on a few points, so you insult me and yell at me. I reiterate an opinion on you that I've held for the entire game, and that others are picking up on, so you yell at me again. Along with most of the rest of your posts this game, I just don't see what this accomplishes.

He should confirm this, but I have no idea what he went for or not. Night 3 I will check fishball if he survives. I want to check someone who can actually confirm I have rolecop, so tonight I will check one of the following unclaimed. Bah, the one time I'm away for a day is finally when I'm needed. Yes, I picked parity cop, and I didn't get the role. Catching up on thread now.

I'm totally leaning towards jimbo's view of things. The rereading of posts that I've been able to do seems to confirm what he's saying. Apologies for inactivity are pretty much moot at this point, but I'm sorry anyway.

EDIT: On January 22 2011 18:12 flamewheel wrote: Yeah the not-claim is silly. Same with Eiii... should've said he didn't get Parity much earlier. And this was something I was struggling with-- I figured I should have not claimed and tried to soak up a mafia hit, but if I claimed that I didn't get it then mafia would know where parity *actually* was within 2-3 people for sure (and they could probably narrow it down to one good suspect from there) since the roles of so many people above me were known. Once parity had found out something really useful they could bring it forward, and I could claim that I actually didn't get it to legitimize their claim. And if I got killed off before hand, then I had successfully absorbed a hit that was aimed at someone a lot more useful than I was. To be honest, I didn't really consider it as a role that mafia would have wanted to pick up but apparently I should have. Either way, what does knowing that parity cop might be scum hands do for us other than just assuming I have it doesn't?
