i have 1 game remaining on my banlist but there's like 3 games that are taking players. am i going to have to wait for the final game i sit out of to end before i can join a game?

Correct. You aren't really sitting out anything if you skip one of the games that are going on but play in the other 2.

Yeah, just remind me when it ends. I have enough trouble keeping track of who is banned for how long as it is.

yes, but i'd like for you to do something with laxercannon like "if he plays again and replaces out mid-game he should get a 1 game ban". Other than that, everyone was fairly active.

Yeah, I put him in the "double secret probation" list. I figured that covered it.

Jayme has been replaced in TL Mafia XXX by Ace, though he will receive a ban as punishment for this modkill for inactivity.

For transparency's sake: Jayme did not inform me until 30 minutes before deadline, and that was immediately after I sent the warning PMs. He has also been modkilled for inactivity before.

Those are your voting rules. While he violated rule #6, it wasn't really due to inactivity because he voted.....

I don't have a problem with modkilling him in the game. But I don't see how a ban would be justified for this. Am I missing something?

I would like to hear comments on this.

It's like Incognito's recent game, and my recent game (though those didn't deal with double lynch). "You miss a vote, you get modkilled." larjarse missed a vote, so he got modkilled.

I think the modkill's perfectly justified (which is different from not having a problem with it). I don't really care about the ban. To question the ban and not the modkill is to question the premise of a ban, like I did during my game with L... if someone's somewhat active and misses a vote, do you modkill them still? I yes'd because I wanted to be consistent with my rules. But when reflecting on that game, I would have preferred not to, because 1) L was somewhat active and 2) mafia got seriously pwned by his modkill.

The difference here, of course, is that larjarse voted, just not twice... but if the ban list is to encourage activity (ie. reading and therefore knowing that he should have voted twice), then I think a ban is reasonable.

Additionally, I believe he failed to post at least once in the main thread during that day.
