I believe the extra armour extends to the throne as well.
http://wiki.teamliquid.net/dota2/Buildings Under Backdoor Protection "All buildings except for Tier 1 towers and the Fountain have backdoor protection" Throne/Ancient is listed as a building on the same page
EDIT: As a poster above said, it's not amour but dmg resistance + regen

Inhibs and the nexus don't though, but backdooring isn't nearly as potent in LoL because a bunch of champions won't build AD nor AS (I think relatively speaking, even hard supports in DotA end up doing similar right-click damage because DotA has lower HP pools in general) and even though the map is tinier, there are no TP scrolls/Boots of Travel late game, only recall.

Dota 2 buildings have a base amount of armor, but in the absence of creep, they get backdoor protection when attacked, which is a flat % reduction of all damage plus 90 hp/sec regeneration (it won't heal past the amount of hp it had when it started being attacked with backdoor protection). I'm also pretty sure Ancients (Nexus) don't have backdoor protection in Dota 2.
I thought that(no backdoor protection) was only in DotA1? I vaguely recall seeing a parity post somewhere, sometime ago >>

Backdoor protection was introduced in DotA 2 already, in 2012 or something like that.

well yes, the towers, but inhibs are the important ones iin this case. They killed the real backdooring where you 1v1 a turret without minions some time ago with the bonus protection and increasing tower damage.

I'm guessing it's not an oversight plus I don't really recall Ancients having backdoor protection when I played, but I could be wrong.

Yea that's the thing when I searched it I found a bug thread on dev forums saying they should have no backdoor protection but then in changelog it says fixed Ancients backdoor protection. Guess i'll have to go check ingame myself

Why do you even argue about dota? It doesn't matter if dota has it or not, the more interesting question is do you think a nexus should have some sort of it?
|
Dig got strong solo laners and it made them much better. If they now could pick up a decent bot lane, they could be a real top team. I mean Kiwi getting caught out so often is not compensated by anything he does.

I just couldn't remember.
Don't think LoL needs bd protection. You already got respawning inhibs with people like Ziggs in the game. It was more a problem of Dig trying to go all in instead of just playing passively until their inhib respawned.

i think inhibs should have it and the nexus should have some depending on inhibs.
If all inhibs down, then you deserve whats coming.

Qtpie is playing hilariously legit tonight, KiWiKiD is basically dying for his team sins.

Finally Ahri. Was wondering where she went after she dominated so hard in EU.
