Alex and Freeze are totally capable of carrying against ocelote/Yuuki, Cabochard is completely capable of shutting down Jwaow either. SKP will probably lose to H2K, doesn't mean that much anyway, until synergy is alive again, i consider Haydal and Co as strongest CS team in this patch, on the other hand, relegations will be played on 4.13 or 4.14 so everything can change. And considering that bar to LCS Spring 2015 is our lovely Copenhagen Wolves, SKP are stronger, H2K after playing few weeks together are stronger (even against CW with Airwaks) and NiP can be easily on their level, if Voidle doesn't choke as i'm expecting him to.

Moving out into serious things.

Before calling any team out:

SHC played two bo5 in their LCS history - they lost to this SK 2-3 having Haydal instead of MrRallez and being up 2-0 and smashed C9E without k0u 3-0 as was expected. It was basically first time Selfie showing up real skills, not just coming up and smashing half-dead {M} with LeBlanc.

This SK played bunch, well, two as well - they won against Supa Hot Crew XD 3-2 as it was mentioned above and they played against Fnatic in the finals, losing 1-3 instead of expected 0-3.
Key of their success in promotion match was putting Jesiz onto Ziggs, well, nothing changed since.

{M}illenium played bunch, well, outside of KottenX, this roster (being Alternate back in the days) came back against Giants! Gaming back into 2013 Summer Promotion tournament with 3k elo shockwave by ForellenLord 3-2 and they won against NiP last time 3-2 as well in glorious 7-hours-series. In general, this is the team with arguably the most experience as a team in boX series.

Roccat were able to play one bo5 so far on LCS level, beating NiP 3-0 with heavy late 1-3-1 game plan, because of it, i consider them as actual favourites because of possible level of preparations.

In general, even if we remember bo3s, Roccat were considered as favourites against SK last time, Millenium (well, aTn), started all this stuff with relegated NiP, barely losing to EG day before, SHC XD never played it as a team outside of beating MYM 2-0 in "replace both NiP and Lemondogs" game and SK only beat Roccat in bo3 but struggled hard before it.

Time for predictions for quarterfinals and 5th place match:

Acer - Roccat.

This series might be total stomp actually. If Impaler gets kicked in the ass by XJ9 or LS, he and Selfie will just snowball the game hard. Rallez is definitely stronger than Celaver and if Vander can't salvage botlane, then Roccat are doomed because toplane will be something like Maokai-Shyvana, Maokai-Gragas (even if i'm not impressed by Mimer playing APs still) or even some random Doctor Mundo being thrown there, so no big deal there. Overpow is very passive, so he won't abuse Selfie therefore i'm not expecting latter to tilt and Jankos will be banned from Elise most likely and his Lee Sin is absolute wildcard still. Go hard or go home.
Don't forget about preparations by Roccat though, even if Acer have coaches now as well.

If good day for Impaler, 3-0 Acer, if bad day, 3-1 Roccat. Going with middle, 3-2 SHC XD.

SK Gaming - {M}illenium.

This might be a total blockbuster on the other hand.
First, i will cheer for Millenium hard, so you can consider me biased.
Second. I hope Millenium don't lane swap. THEY SUCK AT IT, JUST DON'T DO IT. Or if you laneswap, at least, have a plan how to negate CandyPanda after it.

Millenium just need to play their game. Strong laners, mid-game power, use it, destroy. There is nothing where SK are actually better than them, especially, if Millenium can adjust their power well and don't fight for dragons which they can't fight and so on.

My money on Kerp, Creaton and Co this time, not only because i despise Jesiz and Svenskeren but when all of your lanes just blow, there is no way out. Ah, also, Jree, can you please play engaging supports? Thanks. And DON'T FIGHT DRAGONS WHICH YOU CAN'T.

SK 1-3 Millenium. Well, 2-3, they will still throw at dragons.

5th place match:

Well, if Roccat can grip SK into their mud to fight there, then 3-1 Roccat, on the other hand, 3-1 SK. 3-2 Roccat as middle for me, i find it as pretty safe choice.

I like both teams for particular reasons but it doesn't matter here that much.
I definitely can see {M} taking games, Alliance aren't that untouchable [A] which was earlier that season. Especially, if Xerath will be banned globally still.

I hope that Millenium won't use Froggen as their target. If they just abuse Wickd or Shook, it might work way better than trying to deny Froggen Orianna or something like that.
KottenX vs Shook will be absolute quintessence here, who is going ham first, will lose. Also, Alliance hadn't picked Rengar once, mwhahaohoa.

On the other hand: Alliance 3-1 Millenium, Anivia will be picked at least once.

Fnatic - Supa Hot Crew XD

Well, i always hope that Fnatic lose but they don't. Actually, Acer had veeeeery long games against Fnatic in past 2 seasons and considering that they're 2-2 this split, might be good.

Here i hope that Acer laneswap and try to protect Selfie by warding midlane a lot, just to escape his weak early game, also i hope that Impaler doesn't pick Rengar and Rallez/kaSing don't go on tilt because of it.

Cyanide-Impaler are players to watch again, just because Cyanide usually steps up huge in playoffs and Impaler tends to choke hard after successful series.

Fnatic 3-1 Acer.

Kerp and KottenX abuse Selfie and Impaler, Creaton outperforms Rallez, Jree goes ham, kev1n dives t3-4 on 20th minute.
On the other hand, they will drop one game due to Selfie early snowball and Impaler's suddenly going hard with J4/Rengar/Vi pocket pick. (don't forget, it was his only competent jungler in Spring Split, well, outside of Xin Zhao but everyone can play Xin Zhao).

But i really hope that {M} qualifiy for Worlds, i'm quite interested in how can they play against SEA/NA/CN at least. Kerp-Chawy Ziggs's wars hype. {M} for the Championship.

Dare i bet against Fnatic in EU playoffs? I guess, it's time.
Will be cute series though, can't give big advantage to anyone.

On the other hand, if Froggen/Shook duo can outperform traditionally op xPeke/Cyanide duo in playoffs, then Alliance can take series pretty convincingly, because i don't see sOAZ outperforming Wickd a lot and Tabzz/Nyph suddenly dropping bigger ball than they can to Rekkles/YellowStar.

On less serious note, Riot will choose Season MVP and stuff this week?

Wickd/Mimer - Shook - Froggen - Rekkles/Tabzz - YellowStar is probably what will be for EU with Froggen getting second season MVP in a row.

For NA - Ackerman/Meteos(because i just can't think about better candidates)/XiaoWeiXiao/Sneaky/Aphromoo with XWX or Ackerman getting season MVP.

I think I read the LCS playoffs would be on 4.13 which I guess is only the non-relegation games? If only worlds is on 4.13 that will be really weird. Well it's weird for that patch to come out now before playoffs anyway but even weirder if just worlds.

Thanks for the info. I usually check lolesports twitter for this, but I didn't see anything about it. So, I just defaulted to assuming nothing had changed since last week.

I just hope that at least one of them is strong enough to go into lcs. Seriously the thought of going into another split with the same teams will be just horrible. Not saying it will have the same impact like lmq had on NA but just little change might bring something positive.

I'm pretty sure that Riot with chasing american sports idea are close to lock the league after 10-teams expansion, at least i won't be surprised.
And even if they don't lock it, Challenger teams won't be able to chase the dream just because of difference in infrastructure.

It's still MYM except that takefun struggles harder than czaru did, so not really, kubon actually stepped it up but he's on gambit now so takefun cries every time. SKP will probably win anyway.
