So was it confirmed that the playoffs will be on 4.5 patch? That seems really important and not a ton of time for the teams to digest and process the rune changes and Feral Flare being OP.

Yes I believe so. It was confirmed by a Rioter on twitter. Someone linked it in the EU LCS thread a few times.

err. oops? Usually someone else does NA games. I usually only do it if people mention no one will be around to do it. In this case, I thought there was someone else doing them. I didn't really think about doing it because of that.

That's huge. I can sort of understand why, as if they didn't they'd have to have 4.4 patch available for the teams to practice on and not like's 4.5 patch. But still, we're gonna see some other champs arise from the jungle because of Feral Flare that haven't been seen in a while.

I did both while I was there (current in Norway fixing some things), from Norway I only do analyst work for a few reasons:
1. coaching long distance is really hard
2. full faith in Scarra's coaching abilities

Having these patches introduces a lot of volatility into the game. There are really two possible outcomes:
  1. It acts a bit like RNG where it gives less capable teams the opportunity to ambush the better teams with "luck" in seeing what's overpowered
  2. Or the better teams are better capable of identifying OP and have the fundamental mechanics and understanding to pull it off and the volatility instead helps cement the dominance of the top teams

TSM VS Coast

Bans: Lee Sin, Nidalee, Zed

Picks: Tresh, Elise, Shyvana, Jinx, Gargas
Picks: Lucian, Evelynn, Jax, Leona, Ahri

I think coast were expecting a lane swap because jax 1v2 + TSM's jinx makes it seem logical for TSM to swap.
CST's comp comparative to TSM screams for TSM to 2v1 so CST tried to swap to catch it
