don't think dade's hero pool is wide enough still to warrant more than 1 ban cycle. so the idea of them winning 3 games against skt is pretty far fetched

skt will probably just ban out supports and try to work against ozone bot lane

zed, ziggs, and nidalee are his three "signature" champions right now i believe, and they're all fairly unique to him (with ziggs being the most, nidalee being something he kind of pioneered in korea, and zed being his old standby); definitely all ban worthy.

didn't know about him playing ziggs, only 1 zigg game on his op.gg. though zed is asking for a riven pick from faker.

he's been playing a lot of gragas and lucian. but mid lucian prob wont' work and his gragas is still hit or miss. could go back to khazix

i guess either of the teams has to waste a ban on yasuo as well

his gragas blows his ziggs is really good (he's like the first person to play ziggs as i've said before, he did it waaaaay back when they were still mvp)

faker would most likely not pick riven just to counter pick a zed because koreans seem to have a pretty good systematic way of dealing with riven these days. riven pickrates in ogn have been pretty average nothing out of control, with a signfiicant number being jungle riven as well, and banning is always an option - would lead to a ban trade between zed and riven, or if ozone is last ban they could do some trickery there

point is i dont think zed is completely nullified at all just because of riven

well i'm not sure dade's zed can still dominate the way he did in spring. if he does do it one game then he's not going to get a chance to do so again, either through ban or more likely a lineup counter the other way. the riven point is just to say skt would probably not ban zed, but can play against it with riven being one of the options.

it goes both ways, if they draft zed with the option of a riven counterpick, then you can reasonably expect Ozone to have something planned for it

they should reasonably expect a riven but that's still a leap away from reasonably expect them to come up with a successful trap for faker riven. given how the laning against zed probably goes it would make zed less confident of a pick.

don't think skt will be forced to ban zed in that case. preparing a trap for zed seems like the way to go if they ban out other dade heroes. zed is not that strong in this meta if he can't splitpush against one of the megatanks anyway

khazix and nidalee are things faker can play about as well as dade, haven't seen faker ziggs in a tourney game though

Riven, Nidalee, Yasuo and Lee Sin probably will be 4 bans at least for first 2-3 games. And Kassadin ofc.
SKT can ban Kha'Zix and Ziggs as well just to force dade out of his comfort zone but then they leave Sivir, they leave Thresh for Mata and Elise.
Ozone might ban supports probably, like Annie and Lulu and take Thresh asap if not banned. That might be key point because botlanes will decide who will be Winter champion this time.

Uh, I'm pretty sure faker can play kha'zix so they could just take that away if they need to. Dade is by far the most important factor in this series but the fact that he can't play gragas might hurt him. Ziggs is ok, but has less utility than gragas. I highly doubt they'll ban zed. Ozone hasn't even gone to zed when they could have. It's a second tier pick no matter who it's played by.

Idk, I'd much rather see Leona taken asap if not banned. Mata was dominating vs Frost with Leona. Annie or Lulu bans I can definitely see though.

Was also watching LCS with EU starting again, and I wonder whether any of those picks will inspire something in Korea (hint hint: I want more galio support). More importantly I'll be shocked if jinx still doesn't get picked up in the third place and finals matches.

I'd love for a team to ban out shyv, mundo and renekton just to see the other team scratch their head.

Details of the new league came out, looks like it'll be called the SKT LTE-A LoL Masters, starting Feb 13. From what I can glean with my poor Korean skills, it seems like it's not going to be teams with combined rosters like Club Masters was, but rather the individual teams representing their parent organisations.

Oops, didn't see that thread. Well anyway, the format is pretty interesting. It will be kinda nice to see the teams working together under their organisations, instead of being straight-up competitors.
