Pretty happy about this result
Don't know much about League history, but it seems like EU teams consistently get into top four against international competition so they're not exactly outclassed. Was still rooting for China all the way though.

Piglet's had like two bad games the entire tournament. He's the leader in KDA, I believe kills, and has been the best player for SKT with Bengi throughout the tournament. Faker hasn't carried at all, really. He's been great, but he really hasn't pulled SKT along to a win like Uzi has once or twice so far.

Yeah, EU showing last year was actually pretty strong too with Gambit/CLG.eu so not surprised that a European team at least had one team go pretty deep. I don't think they're finals quality yet, but these were still fun games to watch.
Anyway, Tabe is God. Royal wins fights when Lucky survives. Whitezz dies for Lucky's sins. Godlike is godlike and a feeder at the same time. Uzi is disgusting and needs nerfs. CN is not stopped by EU but will probably be halted by SKT zzzz

Still sad. Both team could've played much better, but I'm obviously biased towards Fnatic. They could've snowballed the last game at so many points, but they kept playing with fire, which burned Cyanide in the end, and it's all history from there. I'd like Peke to talk about his experience, because out of the 5 Fnatic players, he was the weakest link by far today. Cyanide could negate Uzi being a complete terror for Puszu (who most of the time laned with Leona, who either goes in, or watches you 2v1 vs one of the best adcs in the world), but Peke's tilt just made the midgame an uphill battle for Fnatic.

are you joking, Bengi played so well in their semi, and Piglet carried at least game 2.
I don't get where this stuff comes from even in champions the difference between their premiere season and OGN summer was Faker couldn't carry his team alone, and in summer Piglet surfaced as a secondary threat.

I think we've gotten to the point where all we do is shit on teams no matter what they do lol. "omg you got caught" "could've been better." It's a good idea to have but at the same time it's unhealthy to expect phenomenal montage worthy videos all the time, haha.

The thing is Fnatic easily could've gotten eliminated in the ro8 if they pulled Royal instead of C9.

I think it's testament to equal spread of player skill when people debate about who are the best player in the particular team.

The sad part is 3v2 fnatic still lost bot lane.

what are you even talking about, he plays all the mid champions that have seen a lot of action in this tournament. He plays Fizz, Ahri, Zed, Ori, Gragas.
losing a series to SKT =/= you are a bad player.

Heh, I can only imagine how Chinese fans must have felt about that draw.
I only wish esports tournaments would just format things like fighting games. But after all this time I don't really comment on that kind of thing any more because it never goes anywhere and people get really angry about it for some reason.

Damn, fuck me. Get back home, launch Azubu to rewind and watch the games, I get 10 minutes smooth, just enough for Royal's singing, then Azubu starts lagging like mad and even in 360p all I get is a slideshow. >_>

The way Riot did this format it is really hard to see how the internation competition stacks up.
A round robin group (or at least double elim) of Sword, OMG, SKT, Fnatic, Royal would've gotten a much better picture. As it is all we know is Ozone was awful, Vulcun still throws, and Lovelin is a god.
Obviously round robin/double elim is really taxing for gameplay for World Championship and single elim makes sense, but the problem is this competition coincides with being the first international debut of most of these teams against each other.
We wouldn't have nearly as many problems matching teams up (think S2 except for TPA surprise) if there were still MLG and IPL between major international teams.

And NA could easily not have any team in the RO8 if it wasn't for the joke-tournament (or Riot's organizing skills). And after the finals, you could even say that SKT/Royal could've been eliminated in the round of 8, if they had met there.
Europe has been at least in the semis for 3 times in a row, you can't really discount it. Also, you say they could've been eliminated Ro8, then I say if they got NJS in the ro4 they'd be i nthe finals now, so yeah.

Season one really shouldn't count, seeing as China and Korea didn't even have teams yet. It was just Europe and NA, along with bad teams from the SEA.
