It's really a product of the wider problem that Riot's format allows for so many games that don't directly affect a team's fate/standing. For example, if being 1st/2nd seed in the group mattered. then there wouldn't be as many accusations about throwing. | ||

There's the tried and true "OGN/GSL/ect." method where it's not a true round robin but instead a mini double elim bracket for each group. It works perfectly in removing any incentives to throw. The only reason for not having that is having extra games being played but then you can do TI3 type setup where the group stages are merely for seeding into the bracket play. Top of group goes to WB and bottom to LB but they don't have a double elim playoff stage either. Meh I shouldn't be starting a format discussion again ... | ||
