Basically, SK should easily beat Alternate.

However, I wonder if their team chemistry and everything will be fine after the huge, obvious throw by Kev1n.

Alternate lack variety both Flord and Aranae have about 4 champions they perform good on. They will need Creaton's wide shoulders to carry them forward.

They need WhiteKnight to play instead of Araneae

He got so much flame though both inside the team as outside. Yet his performance was not bad at all.

He really got a lot of flame? The only bad game he played was the first one as Ryze vs Zed, all others he was the best player in the team.

Most of the players aren't scrimming, let alone playing on a stage with the lights and crowd until 3 am. There's a difference in intensity between solo q and these games.

But which way do you play better, though? In most games I play I find myself playing much better if I play relaxed and just don't give a shit than when I tryhard.

Well it was on reddit so perhaps i am jumping conclusions, but i think it might be with the fact that Araneae said they would perform waaaaay better with Creaton back into the team, yet we see about the same results as before.

Well they don't seem to have a problem with ocelote and he does worse stuff so they're probably chill with it.

i'll be putting out the wild guess but playing in a tournament setting for so long must be more mentally draining than simply autopiloting your way through yoloq all night long

Well I know there were scrims at least until 2. So I really dont think it will be a big problem.

I haven't played games like LoL in tournaments but at least in SSBM playing for 15 hours in a tournament bracket hasn't really been an issue. It depends on the person.

You really can't compare scrims to lcs lol....

Especially to games in which you can get #2 and skip a bo3.

So, my only question -- how do they decide Blue/Purple side for the tournament? Was it drawing order there? Coin flip? Head-to-head?

For this tiebreaker? Not sure. For the league they play each team 4 times so 2 blue and 2 purple.

Says in the tiebreak situations per Leaguepedia that sides are coin toss.

At end of Week 9, if two teams have the same record, ties will be broken by:

Head to Head record
If still tied, a tiebreaker match will be played, with side selection determined by coin toss

So it's not a round robin, that's good. They're doing a double elim Korean style group.

Isn't that in huge part a luck of the draw?

I guess they assume that all teams are equally good so that shouldn't matter.

He was also flamed here. Although every player is getting flamed here, with very few exceptions (xPeke, froggen). So that doesnt say much.
Oh well stupid topic anyway because it is not like he willplay anytime soon.

Right, it's all balanced for the season, they get each side the same amount vs each other. Not sure how they work it out for this tournament.

I really think head-to-head should figure into it, rather than just random draw. Gambit shouldn't be Blue side vs. anyone with the 2-10 head-to-head, but from the way the bracket looks, they'll be blue vs. EG.

Quite lucky they didn't have to try and work out how to solve a 5 way tie. I bet they had nothing planned for if that happened, since round robin would be the only way really...

Ahhh, awesome find, thanks!

Still seems a little awkward to do it like that, but at least there's a rule set.

isnt it bo1 ? they cant really play a full group stage after a full day

edit: I now realise that you meant the bo3 for the final day
