Early game: EG got out-laned both in terms of the match ups and how they played it. The Nasus death bot was what really sealed it however and it was very much a mistake rather than Snoopeh being out-played. Also, during their level 1 movements I think NiP could see where the EG members where moving so could confirm that Cait+Janna were going to be mid and saw Nyaahri going top early. So they knew they could get the match-ups they wanted.
Mid game: EG needed to group and make plays faster. Even if it meant trading the outer towers on the side lanes, they needed to do something since they were mainly just losing things slowly. In Season 2 one of their issues was that in the times between objectives they kinda just durdled around farming not sure what to do and not actively making plays. Here, the same habits came to bite them. Also, they had the problem where they would commit resources and then just lose out on more elsewhere (e.g. trying to fight Kassadin top and losing Nyaahri and inner mid tower).
EG also still has farm priority issues. Yellowpete is still not getting farmed enough fast enough. Froggen will still farm the side lanes while the opposing AD Carry is farming the side lanes and Yellowpete is fighting for cs with the others. If Froggen had 100-0 assassin power then it could have worked but it didn't.
At this point it was all over since NiP could 5 man any objective and EG could not contest anything and just lost inhib, Baron control, all their inhibs and then their Nexus. Guh. At this point I don't think EG can ever fix their farm priority issues. Someone has had to have called out Froggen on it before and they haven't done anything about it.

This discussion is stupid anyway, because the EG organisation is not deciding anything here. If the team wants to make a lineup change, they will. If they dont want to make a change, they wont. EG doesnt have any kind of LoL expertise to be able to have an opinion regarding lineup changes.
What happens should EG drop out of LCS is an entirely different matter. I guess their contracts would just not be renewed then. Quite simple really.

We weren't talking about roster changes, we were talking about them dropping the whole team, like SK might do.

To be fair, you could have formed the exact same argument about NiP a few weeks ago. They had 0 LoL experience prior to picking up CW yet they were able to have an opinion.

Well the fact that Sven left because Godbro couldn't stay on the team makes it seem like the whole team certainly wasn't in agreement. My guess is NiP told them something needed to change, but the team talked about who they would pick up.

Honestly aside from Snoopeh taking the HSGG route I don't really see any personel moves that are required as much as getting some sort of coach/analyst. EG's decision making in the early/mid game is patently the worst in the EU LCS right now. Individual skill-wise they're still up there IMO, it just never gets the chance to shine when they can't make it to midgae without being behind and praying that the other team throws at Baron.

Yeah but dropping out of LCS is HUGE. Much bigger deal than anything in SC2 and you cannot compare. Well they would be be streaming 24/7 if that ever happened.

I gotta say, ocelote's teleport homeguard to kill czaru was one of the funniest things I've seen in a pro game.
