I think if he wanted to split push, FM isn't that useful. If someone comes to 1v1 him, if DL is stronger, his opponent will be forced out of lane or die. And with Vayne's passive, I'd think he would be fast enough to catch anyone. If DL would lose, FM won't really let her kite away with her sucky range. I'd be fine with just staying on a phage and transitioning into more damage.
I think Vayne is good vs. dive champs that have to get close as opposed to champs that have low range spells (which C9 had).
Sorry guys, I'm just bitter at another CLG loss =(

Well that's a popularity contest to a great extend, aswell. I don't think that the masses of CLG fans would try to be super realistic before the game and tweet for C9 over their favourite team. :-/
