However, should the "unthinkable" happen, I'm not too sure CLG players would immediately find new teams. Anyone picking up Doublelift would probably have to heavily modify existing strategies to accomodate him. He's been exclusively playing 4-1 comps (maybe the odd 3-2 comp, but not consistently) for what, a year now? It is thoroughly possible that he will not perform up to that level in a team that does not sacrifice other lanes to protect/carry him through the early- and midgame. Maybe CLG doesn't play 4-1 because they think DLift is their only hope, but because it's the only way to get him to work on the team? Chauster might have a shot if a team desperately needs a shotcaller, but he hasn't impressed recently. Link is pretty good (imo the best player on CLG this season, even though he had some pretty awful bloopers at times) and might get picked up by MRN/coL/whatever other teams qualify. The upper echelon however should be pretty set in their midlanes (don't see jacky/mancloud/shiphtur/scarra/reginald getting the boot). Aphromoo should go back to AD - he'd probably have a better shot at finding a team that way, or get picked up alongside DLift (but which team would straight up fire their bot lane to pick up one from a relegated team?). However, he probably damaged his reputation when he jumped ship for CLG, marking him as unreliable and going for the big money move (yes, I know FeaR agreed with his move) | ||
