In the long run, Korea will still probably pull ahead based on the more centralized talent pool (LoL is the prime E-sport in Korea while DotA is still the elephant in the room when it comes to the MOBA playerbase in China) meaning more talent entering the professional scene over time--evidenced by the fact that while there are strong Chinese/Taiwanese teams, there are less of them. In the short term though, yes, China/Taiwan can compete.

I don't see any western team coming close to the top Asians ever again. CLG.eu did well but that was a while ago when the korean scene was much younger, they lost a lot of ground during there "vacation" while the koreans just keep getting better and better.

That and just separating/turning on him when he dives can generally work. Otherwise your best bet so far as I've seen is to disengage when he pops Ragnarok and then just kite him all day once it's down. Add to the fact he was diving Karthus/Caitlyn, both who have no real escape vs an ulting Olaf, as he can just ignore Nunu and walk through WoP. Would've been better for MYM if Elise wasn't a country mile behind so she could actually do something in fights outside use cocoon and die. So what you're saying is that you just have to all-in him/ camp him pre-6 or you lose the game ? seems balanced > ![]() ( i know that elise was way too far behind and thats why Olaf snowballed so hard, but i still think he's a little bit too good; dem true damages w/ 3 Tank items and a bruta )

I don't think olaf is broken, usually when games are even olaf can easily kited with the right comp and he is just really good in the current league of cc. try to play olaf from behind against any other bruiser and all you can do is wasting your mana to farm minions with your axes. The only problem is that we are currently always seeing guys like shy, reapered and Caomei getting super fed and achieving raidboss status 10minutes earlier than anyone else. Also Flame this game was 6k gold ahead of Elise ~25-30minutes.

If you can force him to pop his ult early w/ focussed cc whilst your carries keep well back, it's doable. But as everyone saw, he snowballed so hard. MYM had no real damage (no penetration across the board vs Randuins/Sunfire/Visage - The Warmogs was just the icing on the Tank that was Olaf that game).
