Not while the Chinese/Taiwanese are still around bro.....

In the long run, Korea will still probably pull ahead based on the more centralized talent pool (LoL is the prime E-sport in Korea while DotA is still the elephant in the room when it comes to the MOBA playerbase in China) meaning more talent entering the professional scene over time--evidenced by the fact that while there are strong Chinese/Taiwanese teams, there are less of them.

In the short term though, yes, China/Taiwan can compete.

Yep. We still early into season 3 but I really wish NA/EU teams can put up with Asian teams.

Totally wrong mentality (a bit less so in EU but its still there). I don't see any western team coming close to the top Asians ever again.

CLG.eu did well but that was a while ago when the korean scene was much younger, they lost a lot of ground during there "vacation" while the koreans just keep getting better and better.

At a guess, the fact he has no form of escape so ganking him pre-6 if you can dodge his axe and he has ghost down. That and just separating/turning on him when he dives can generally work. Otherwise your best bet so far as I've seen is to disengage when he pops Ragnarok and then just kite him all day once it's down.

Add to the fact he was diving Karthus/Caitlyn, both who have no real escape vs an ulting Olaf, as he can just ignore Nunu and walk through WoP. Would've been better for MYM if Elise wasn't a country mile behind so she could actually do something in fights outside use cocoon and die.

So what you're saying is that you just have to all-in him/ camp him pre-6 or you lose the game ?

seems balanced >

( i know that elise was way too far behind and thats why Olaf snowballed so hard, but i still think he's a little bit too good; dem true damages w/ 3 Tank items and a bruta )

Yep. SC2 always have the BEST live crowd. LoL/Dota2 live audience can't even come close.

That's not really true. It depends on the situation a lot more than the game. In this case a local player was on stage for sc2.

Pretty sure Curse are sponsored by them... I forget the name but they're gaming glasses that reduce eye strain or something. Gunnars probably, might be the wrong spelling mind you.

They are in the minority. With the former BW teams having LoL players now, Chinese and Taiwanese will be left in a dust cloud as the year progresses.

164k viewers nice!

I don't think olaf is broken, usually when games are even olaf can easily kited with the right comp and he is just really good in the current league of cc. try to play olaf from behind against any other bruiser and all you can do is wasting your mana to farm minions with your axes. The only problem is that we are currently always seeing guys like shy, reapered and Caomei getting super fed and achieving raidboss status 10minutes earlier than anyone else. Also Flame this game was 6k gold ahead of Elise ~25-30minutes.

Eh, not saying you have to all in him, as someone said earlier he can't peel so if your bruisers can dive before Olaf gets in then you'll probably do better as he only has his ult to stop him being kited. If you can force him to pop his ult early w/ focussed cc whilst your carries keep well back, it's doable.

But as everyone saw, he snowballed so hard. MYM had no real damage (no penetration across the board vs Randuins/Sunfire/Visage - The Warmogs was just the icing on the Tank that was Olaf that game).

curse is sponsored by gunnars and I think he has prescription glasses. if you wanna know how gunnars influence your pc experience I recommended downloading the free programm f.lux it basically does the same thing by dimming your monitor after at certain times in the day.( 4pm for me)

? which bruiser got nerfed, only one that comes to mind for me is Riven in the last patch, jax, irelia, darius, jayce and shen are fine.

I mean that's a little unfair to compare the TI2 to this event. The crowds at the WC for LoL were pretty energetic as well.

Edit: That said that's a pretty awesome video.

jax, irelia got indirectly nerfed by triforce nerf and AS items being much worse/expensive,lee,riven got nerfed pretty hard, darius is being reworked, olaf isnt touched so far despite always being top pick and considered counter to every melee bruiser even during s2 where jax, irelia were considered OP, oh also the penetration changes made his ultimate passive even stronger
