Pardon me if I sound pretentious, but what we see here is the cold and hard difference between the skill of NA and Europe. Washed up players who don't try their hardest to improve (saint, elementz, cop) simply pale in comparison with everyone on MYM, but Curse is losing on overall team strategy and coordination as well, probably because they don't think about the game enough (or seriously enough). If Curse somehow manages to place highly in this tournament I will eat my words, but I do not see that happening. Curse is in my opinion a top 3 NA team and their showing provides a good glimpse into the EU vs NA ''war of the west'', and NA is clearly losing. (Nyjacky is obviously Curse's best player, which means that this isn't definite. But Rhux is playing the best on Curse right now, being 1/1 in a 11:2 game and staying decently well on CS despite his team having no map control whatsoever)

Nope. Its a horrible build. They have no damage now. Even IF kat gets reset, her damage is pretty much her base ability damage. Its not even going to scratch anyone when the warmogging starts

Relies on "you can't kill me so I WILL have resets so my average damage WILL beat scaling through my reset spells base damage". Does even less until somebody dies (or even 2). Works better against team coordinated and bursty enough to take care of you.

Voyboy is playing horribly. Not only did he set off the snowball due to lack of awareness, he's also stubbornly gone for this tank build and repeatedly got caught out and gave Wukong great initiation opportunities.

Man that was even more one sided than the Blaze game. Also yea Voyboys build is basically the pinnacle of "I got the reset". Rather useless build in my opinion. You basically playing 4v5 until an enemy dies.

Warmogs Kat assumes you get a reset so it's sustained damage based off her base values and not assassin-y burst.

Both games had Amumu rush a Philo, and then proceed to get destroyed before they could become relevant. I'm not sure I understand it, it sets your weak early game even further behind.

Problem here is eventhough they lost M5/GBG actually has a plan with their team comp(mumu/MF/sona) while I see no plan on Curse team comp...

Elementz likes his early Philo too. Crs stuck in S2 mindset. As support you need early sightstone. Saint would have done better to just get madred into sunfire/mogs/locket.

@Caphe:

Curse doesn't have drafts that well prepared I think. I know Saint really likes his Amumu, but it looks like they just pick each role to what the player feels most comfortable in, rather than playing a designed comp around an objective in tf (assassinating and resets/aoe lockdown/mass spam shields/etc). Asian teams are miles ahead in draft.

There are three big reasons I see this being worth it:
- the BC passive+10 ArPen beats LW pen (probably true here because 3 didn't build armour)
- Wu and MF ult different targets/enemy team splits up/Wukong gets picked off
- BC passive is critical (MF ults ticks twice as fast as Wukong's ult)
Reflecting back on it, the first point was probably true in that game because they were snowballing (the game shouldn't reach the point where the better+earlier %pen of LW will get significant) and only Katarina and Amumu really had armour, so it was prob. a sound decision.

I'll admit to having a knee-jerk reaction, but that's because BC doesn't always outperform LW, and still people always build the former over the latter.

Kat' base damage is relatively low atm. There is no way that Kat can eventually start doing damage after resets. There is no damage on the team, its not going to reset. And then even IF she resets, shes gotta be near wukong and jayce to get things going. Both champions eat her alive.
