I chuckled a little when Diamond did his gesture. I don't think there's bad blood between them or anything, and the crap people fling at each other on twitter are a lot more venomous than a heat of the moment gesture. They shook hands afterwards and whatnot so I don't really see an issue.

It's really subjective, I don't think this is really offensive, as other people said, heat of the moment and excitement

i'm not shocked by this, though i can understand really mannered people ( not gonna say "uptight" ) are shocked by this awful behavior :p

There's other ways of expressing yourself than saying fuck you to your opposition. Makes sense those since most gamers are kids

I don't know what to tell you it's pretty bm.

like team mrn saying "GET FUCKED" when they get a kill, in their booth, and the admins getting upset is uptight

turining to your opponent who you just beat and saying fuck you to their face kinda a dick move

but hey thats just me. (coming from a huge m5 fanboy)
Carrilord has arrived.

Lighten up. This isn't a SC Carebear Huggles Group and I don't want it to be.

It's not "just" a game, these are professional players, playing in a professional tournament, being streamed to the public. It's like calling the NBA "it's just a basketball game at the end of the day, dont worry about professionalism"

What is a handshake in "korean way"?

The hand on elbow/below arm kind of handshake instead of the more westernized left hand down on side or somewhere unrelated.

This isn't Starcraft... Doing shit like that is completely legit and has always been in pretty much every other E-sport game out there. Take a look at some classic CS 1.6 and Quake and you would see the same shit every single tournament.

"People acted like assholes in other games, so it's totally legit to be an asshole here!"

Such a stupid sentiment....

If there is one esport that is trying to learn and develop like the starcraft scene, its LoL. So no those gestures should not be accepted especially in the direction LoL is going, where Riot themselves promote good behavior in game and punish bad behavior. Look at that 1 year ban on IWilldominate and 1 week ban? on some EU top laner right before qualifiers. It won't be long before there are rules in place to punish behavior like that especially with Riot wanting the championship series to be a legitimate tournament.

as for the "up yours" i see it as a fist pump.. i think normal people just don't understand the adrenaline rush you get in a game like that

They just 2-0ed them. If they were acting like cocky shits surely THAT's the way to give them something in return? Normally crushing cocky people at the very thing they think they rock at is the way to deal with them.

Really doubt an Asian team would act cocky, they always seem to emphasize proper manners in and out of game. Definitely inappropriate BM from Diamond but guess it can be excused as a heat-of-the-moment thing.

As I said, all subjective, I tend to rage therefore this doesnt shock me, if you're always proper and mannered then I understand, otherwise you know what people say about throwing the first stone and all that ...

All I'm saying is, everyone has the right to think it's bad or not, but let's just not be hypocritical and/or jump on a bandwagon

Do people really think that professional atheletes are squeaky clean though? I mean, hockey players are some of the most foul mouthed people I've heard, and that's including my own love of the words fuck and shit. So right after the win he, he lets off a fuck you, so what? He goes over and does the professional thing in shaking their hands after it's all said and done, and he's out of the immediate moment, it's all gravy.

That kind of wasted the joy of the moment for me.
Now I just hope Blaze wins the final and every member give a big F*** you in Diamond's face
