IPL 3 (I think 3, the one where they only had one mobile internet connection working and had to throw the complete schedule in the end). One IEM (not sure which) had to play most games off stream because it was unplayable, MLG Dallas, Blizzcon etc. Some peoples memories sure are short. What i dislike the most about this, is not that the internet crashed, frankly that can happen. What I hate is that it is 2012 and none of the big esports games have properly prepared for this (restart games from replays e.g. seperate lan mode for big tournaments, heck Riot could simply set up a tournament server on local lan to prevent stuff like this). Sure we wouldn't be able to watch, but at least the tournament could finish properly. | ||
